Fantastic review. It basically just comes down to what set list you like more, or if you are like me, have both games.

and stairway will never be in one of these games, as Led Zeppelin rarely licenses their music, and probably would never allow the master tracks to be out in the public.

And yet they've discussed going on tour without Robert Plant.
Well, to be fair, he is pretty busy hanging out with Yoko Zeppelin.

I'm sure Harmonix's refusal to export to certain countries is closely tied to their new distributor's policies. But I can understand how you could get upset by that.
That being said, how original of Activision to release an almost exact replica of Harmonix's new game under the license of Harmonix's old game! Way to go creativity!
Also I'd like to point out that VALVE released a game about ZOMBIES and we're talking about Guitar Hero: blatant copy. Weak.

It seems to me the only reason Yahtzee hates Harmonix is because of their retarded handling of the Australian release, or am I missing something? Frankly, I feel that Rock Band 2 is a much more polished product than Guitar Hero: WT (probably because I know the majority of the songs in RB2, hehe). I'm surprised he didn't comment on how stupid the management of star power was, as that pretty much screws over most of my multiplayer sessions.

Loved the Deus Ex song at the end there! Yahtzee should really put more things like that and the painkiller parody in his videos. They're ussually better than the actual review, no offense though.

Was that you, Matt, and Yug at the end there? I could've sword I heard a 4th voice, but I wasn't sure. Anyways, could you tell Matt that Joss Whedon is terrible? (Again.)

Resistance 2 or Gears of War next?

I accept your warm welcome to the escapist, although I'm not new to video games. As a token of my appreciation, I present you with the promise of cake and an infinite ink ribbon, so that you may never lose your progress.

Also some Kinks would be sweet
YES!

I love the Kinks, and two of their songs have been in Guitar Hero, but the one in Guitar Hero II was the Van Halen version and the one in Guitar Hero Aerosmith was by some random band I'd never heard of. It breaks my heart.

I think World Tour is definitely better than III. III felt broken and old. Like II with a new skin and crappier set list. While the songs in World Tour aren't all amazing, they're better on the whole, and the difficulty curve doesn't try to slit your throat.
