Augustine to be a really good "I HATE this person" villain.
The problem with this was you did hate her, but also hated absolutely everyone in the game. While they were screaming about bio-terrorists being bad, the team to hunt them down, was led by a "bioterrorist", who wasn't even trying to hide it, giving the general force "biotorrist" powers and (spoiler alert but this is in the first 30 minutes of the game so not too worried but skip to next paragraph if you are worried so will pad this bit out because its not spoiler tag worthy really but just in case someone complains they have less of a chance to complain about accidentally seeing it as you would have to read down further so here we go) the general is the one who blows up bridges, in front of people, with her powers.
I get it was going for "police state", but it comes across as "stupidly retarded", the sort of stuff written by a tin foil hat wearer, even comic books do this sort of story better (like marvels civil war stuff basically being the same thing).
I mention comic books because the story is basically X-men, the main villain is magneto and they couldn't even be bother to change the chant of some of the protesters as they complain about mutants.
And i also agree that the touchpad usage was a complete gimmick, i remember playing it thinking "why do i have to move my hand from the normal buttons when this could just as easily be done by pressing a button"
The game looked nice, and was smooth (even with Delsin feeling a bit like he was sliding on the ground instead of running at the start) but was as shallow as anything and lacking in gameplay unfortunately. There was a lot less variety in what to do, and this is from someone who 100% cleared the city.
And don't get me started on those sodding graffiti moments, most obvious pointless gimmick use to pad gameplay.
