Well, I disagree with most of what he said in this episode, but is defenitely right in that the game (on Normal difficulty setting) is far too easy.

Actually, they Motion captured all the actors as well as recording them so your whole "Biowareface" argument kind of falls through as you just looking for random things to complain about even if they aren't there.

Well I enjoyed the driving in Mass Effect (I refuse to refer to it as Mass Effect 1, there is no need to slap a 1 on there unless you're an idiot), and as I said in a previous thread, I'd like to kick everyone who complained about it in the balls... hard; so hard in fact that they'll be talking like Pee Wee Herman on helium for a month. ... Anyway the Mako was a fucking TANK with rocket boosters on it, you don't exactly expect a tank to handle like Ferrari, do you? I thought the damn thing handled quite well considering it was a fucking tank!
Anyway, I digress.

I was actually rather surprised he didn't rag on the ammo system change. Other than that, good review, although I do have to disagree partially with the comments of a mining game. Wasn't horrible, but it did get annoying after a while.

Well, I would be one of the people you would like to kick in the balls, but that's mainly because I realize that the mako was actually supposed to be something like an APC rather than a tank, and the fact that the mako handled like an epileptic waiter at a rave didn't help either...

Hah! The return of Gareth Gobblecoque! I am amused. I didn't know there was such a thing as continuity in Zero Punctuation reviews.

Motion capture is only as good as the end result. While most of the animation is top-notch, the facial animations can get a bit wonky at times.

Anyways, good review as always Yahtzee.

I was never a fan of the "create your own adventure" games. I'm playing video games because I don't want to have to think about it.

now to find that ME2 seems to have lost the "game" part and has become a movie version of those "choose your own adventure" books.

and lets face it, those books were never well written.

c'mon video games, when will you become games again?

And more chest high walls? Real Heroes don't need chest high walls, and sometimes they will tear those walls down to kill their enemy. Samus, Link, Mario, Kratos, Wander, the marine from Doom; all of them and more have said NO to chest high walls.
who's Wander? completely disagree with your statement btw, but honestly never heard of "Wander" before.

Wait, you actually use Yahtzee's videos to determine whether or not you are going to buy a game?

Generic, topic ignoring "I couldn't agree more". I honestly can't think of anything to add onto this in any form.

Also this.

Shepard Smash also made me chuckle. Because you can totally do it.

quite a fair review to be, well fair.

don't agree on the combat, i thought it was pretty solid compared to the first game, and the inclusion of "ammo" (in inverted commas of course) was good. makes you think more about your shots rather than spray, then wait a fraction of a second THEN SPRAY SOME MOAR.

You could see how much he hateed the game... not having enough flaws to rip into.

And by all means it's understandable, Mass Effect 2 is an excellent game. As for which character to bone this time round, I went with the ship's secretary character because she was pretty much on her knees in front of you the second you joined up. The other female character IE who actually fights along side you is so bloody annoying. Not just her character but her face, want to punch it!

It's funny when you meet Ashley Williams again because she's angry at you. "So I sex with you for nothing?"

I love RPGs, I love Bioware and I love Bioware RPGs.

Both vehicle sections and equipment screen were THE WORST things about ME1, if you exclude problems with modern Nvidia drivers, not game's fault. Equipment screen was a major clusterbeep and Mako sucked ass. Seriously, it was so unwieldy I did all the "walking" missions first before going into Mako.

After playing Mass2 I'd agree to most of this. Mixing Vehicle exploration and scanning at the same time would be waaaaaaaay better. The ending was rather bad though, because when you eliminate the threat and go say "Hey council i took care of the problem for you." That option mysteriously isn't there.

It's like they fucked it up on purpose...

Solid game, good fun, DLC is probably coming out in droves so hang onto it. The end.
It wouldn't be logical if they DID thank you. They said they won't acknowledge the Reapers as a real threat, since nobody saw them except for Shepard, and they think Sovereign was actually a Geth warship or something... Especially since the scavengers (one of them was Cerberus) took most of the parts from the ship, so it was impossible for Council to get any informations about the Reapers.

Bioware games have good writing now?

Well they sure hid that in all the games I've played by them.
That's a nice business card you have there. I'm surprised you've kept it dry whilst living under that bridge.
What?
Professional troll.
Oh I get it now, since I have a different opinion from yours I must be a troll.

Well no, I'm not trolling Bioware games are not well written (at least none of the ones I've have been), they're badly written especially when compared to other RPGs.
