Unless you are making a Final Fantasy game.
It's not even a good idea there either. I really wish SE would just admit they want to make REALLY PRETTY movies and focus on that instead of making games that feel like really pretty tunnels(when they aren't making MMO's). Maybe if the Spirits Within hadn't bombed.....

Then again, I don't particularly like any of the games after IX so take that as you will.

It's not exclusive. You could have played the terrible half broken Windows 10 only UWP-strangled PC port.
In other words, on the incontinent elephant seal of gaming platforms.

Am I the only one who can only see a 45 sec. long commercial for how great the escapist used to be?
That happens to me sometimes. I thinks its down to my internet connection going janky while the video loads, so it loads a different video instead for some reason. Just refresh the page and the video should be fine

This game never really grabbed me. I kept looking for that nice hook or interesting game mechanic and I did not see it. Also locking it into the open terminal to Microsoft OS does not help either and being emulated on top of that? Bleh will have to pass.

Lastly where is the fun part? When I watched the lets plays, it feels like like a product to be consumed vs a game to be enjoyed.

Well thankfully we have plenty of games out there to pick from and enjoy : )

It was my reason to get an XB1. I'll likely get it. Even Yahtzee seemed to like the story.

Well, what do you know, Yahtzee? For all I know (i.e. I just saw some gameplay and one cutscene because I don't spend so much money on a unproven concept), the story could be really deep, the kind that you watch over and over again to grasp the moral, like in UNDERTALE.

These all-purpose time powers make sense if you think of them as greatly slowing time in a certain area, i.e. a bad guy's personal space or your personal space. It's a lot like the electric powers in INFAMOUS.

And look, upgrades/downgrades that change how long actions take are actually quite influential. The main reason why DARK SOULS 3 is great is that it's very much based on time, like how long it takes before an enemy realizes you're a threat, how long they take to cautiously amble towards you, and how long it takes for both you and them to attack.

Apparently it's also available on PC, if you have Windows 10(too bad, MS. Not with as pushy as you're being about it), you can buy it through the games store....and apparently only through the games store, which still pretty much makes it an exclusive.

Though from what I've read, it seems like I could get more enjoyment and the same approximate experience by playing Singularity again while stopping every so often to watch an episode of Fringe.
Except with the Windows 10 version you are stuck in their shitty sandbox which doesn't allow SLI or Crossfire or 120hz+ and has a bunch of other limitations. Even if I was interested in this game I wouldn't buy it from Microsoft's app store.

but having to sit for 20 minutes watching live-action bits before the next chapter is a bit draining.
You're kidding, right?

Hideo Kojima agrees, 20 minutes is simply too short.
I wouldn't be surprised if he did agree. I didn't really mind the length of the cutscenes between chapters, partially because I like Final Fantasy (except the XIII series) but the ending cutscene in MGS4 is roughly 1.5 hours long. Now that was painful to sit through after a while since MGS4 was my first MGS game.

The time power we needed was to compress the sequences to what we actually needed to know, not the time power we got.
