The trailers had me expecting yet another brown/gray realistic shooter that I was going to ignore, but now I might check it out.
2 words my friend family video (or the nearest movie rental store) you can get a game for a week for less that 10$ saves you money and gives you a definitive yes or no on if your going to buy it. unless your a pc gamer then just prey to the steam gods i guessStill Life said:Ugh.
I'm supposed to be avoiding game purchases at least until the end of the year. But when you say 'good story' it makes it all more harder for a lover of storytelling to keep the wallet closed.
I'll avoid this by picking up a good book.
Bravo, you ruined the surprised. But I agree. Gameplay wasn't the best but the story definately is one of the best that I've played in a while...I definately recommend it.fi6eka said:I agree here The mission with the white phosphorus really made me feel like a total ****
Did you even watched the episode or played the game? The gameplay is meh but the rest is good, it has a lot of detail in it, not just story wiseJohn the Gamer said:I saw a commercial on tv stating 'Do [something - don't remember] and get a chance to win an Xbox 360 with the game Spec ops: the line"
And immediately thought; this game must surely be shit for them to give it away for free.
And so it is.
Yay for me.
I knew he would like it but I didn't think it could get a ZP video and be the basis of an EP instead.Crazycat690 said:Yes! I was hoping he'd like it (or atleast not hate it), got it last week and enjoyed it ALOT. The story is really good with good characters, and the game often tries to provoke you in various ways, here's hoping we'll get more games like this instead of the "Mericuh Fukk Yeh!!" shooters developers normally make (EA and Activision being the biggest producers).
Also, Nolan North is doing a good job![]()
the thing is, the gameplay while not great isn't bad enough to destroy the feeling you get from the plot and while i don't want to spoil too much the plot is amazing, when i first rented the game i thought it would just be a tps but it evolves into so much more than that and the characters and the world around slowly fall into psychological shitZero Serenity said:I actually played the demo for this and found the gameplay quite lacking if being utterly annoying. The chemistry of the characters was lacking (maybe it's because it's the demo) and frankly I couldn't feel invested in it. But that being said, I did enjoy this review since it has something Yahtzee is very good at and that is the juxtaposition of being funny. Grim games can work, but really, if it's not fun to play (and I would even go sofar as to say if a horror game isn't fun) then really what is the point? Immersion? Not on my count. It's impossible to get immersed in a game you're hating. The shooting is bland, the contextual flashbang is mind-boggling and I hadn't the feeling the plot was up to much.
oh fuck me is it a guilt element, it is seriously the first time i have ever felt guilt playing a game, mainly because of how your squad react to you and while it may not be that bad while playing when you get to the end and everything you have done get's revealed and the truth and misery becomes apparent (aswell as the short little sequence after the ending) you will feel so fucking guilty and will lose any feeling of being right or justKICdude said:Wow I have only one question. Was it really that gruesome? It has that much of a guilt element? That a plus but dang I don't have the money.
I was thinking something more like this:DVS BSTrD said:I've got the perfect song!canadamus_prime said:Oh that calls for epic theme music.DVS BSTrD said:HA! I knew you damn maple leafs had it in for us!canadamus_prime said:Oh so it's another dull grey brown... wait you kill Americans in this one? SOLD!!
