To be fair Titanfall had gigantic promise as a pure multiplayer game. What they failed on was delivering more content. More Titans, more maps, more weapons, and such would have kept that game much more alive than it is now. It plays in a balls to the wall way like quake 3 and team arena did. So content to fuel unique play styles is all that it ever needed.

Which means they clearly never intended to deliver new content because they thought it could sustain itself on what it already had. Titanfall was just another tech demo with slightly better gameplay than the other tech demos

Still it's not BattleTech, or Armored Core, or Gundam and if we could get some really good next gen games out of any of those... The PS4 and XB1 could be new legends. Just by raising the bar.

Except they won't; if developers have spent this much time dicking around on useless BS I doubt they're going to change their tune. It's like they learned NOTHING about the pitfalls from last generation and think if they can ignore those pitfalls that they'll go away. Don't expect anything worthwhile for another year at least.

From what I've heard, it sounds like this game is everything I hate about modern AAA games.

-Original sci-fi premise? Great, now let's have the player shoot generic dudes with generic guns 95% of the time and ignore what it's actually about
-lacking in content? That's ok because it's all about the story (which I wrote while stoned in Grade 10 and haven't looked at since)
-ending? Who needs that when everyone will just be dying to buy the sequel when we turn this into a ten year long franchise because everyone will love it so much!

Thank god Bloodborne is coming out soon.

What is it with PS4 exclusives this Spring and werewolves?

Maybe someone realised that most people are tired of zombies at this point so it was the next logical step?

You've no idea how badly I want this. Just think about it; werewolves would be fun to play as where zombies are just shittier humans.

Anyone know if there is a class action for people to get their time back? I know one unfortunate soul that pre-ordered and then uttered the phrase "It cannot be that bad, can it?". I am sure Sony has the tech to make a Tardis by now...
