how can you whine about the game being entertainment then be so critical of the content of the review, it was indeed entertaining as always. you should stick to watching reviews from companies funded by the game companies. if he went through and talked about all the good things about games like he does with the bad stuff how could that even be remotely funny? Maybe youre not american but we have a tradition of enjoying the failure of others and yahtzee points out the stuff that makes us happy.deplorable said:awful review, just awful.

I think he's just lost it, he's trying to be funny but fails... it's a game for entertainment, when did Games have to be 60 hours long for replayabiliy (even RPGs i don't ever play again, Dragon Age i couldn't even manage 2 of the origin stories before falling asleep).
He moans about Sandboxed games, he bitches about MMO's, and then he complains about cinema games. The man should not be a gamer, he doesn't enjoy very much...
sounds like he needed his hand held all the way through the game. Which he's complained about before...
So he doesn't like his hand held, he doesn't like not having his hand held and he doesn't like Help pop ups after a time when he's stuck.
There is no pleasing this moron, i've been a huge fan and watched every single one of his reviews but... nah he's lost it, he's not funny... the fact his voice is fast is no longer that amusing.
And he isn't british no matter how many times he tries to hump the british flag during his reviews from doctor who and bbc references in this one to many others. Seriously check back, he's so much in love with britain, he should just make love to the queen and be done with it.
4/10 for this review.
I enjoyed Unchartered 2, especially the marco polo bit among others, and the fact you had decent multiplayer, unlockable stuff which was nice and got extra "bonus" cash to spend if you had completed the first game.
yahtzee you're done, there's the door.
well technically I was talking about emotions on the other side of things (oops) but no it's all goodHUBILUB said:I can sense those emotions too, and it's mostly because people are saying that they're passing up on a game based on a review from YAHTZEE! I know that Yahtzee is entitled to his opinions, but the only thing he did in the review was to pick on the bad things (I'm not complaining at him at all, it's his job and it's fun) but that makes everyone who hasn't played the game think it's flawed and starts to criticize it.duchaked said:no! =) I am acknowledging some level of heightened emotions (an observation really)HUBILUB said:What's with this prejudice? Good looking games have never been the reason to get it. Bad gameplay is best avoided.
boring concepts.
I own a PS3 anyway
but really I just found the comment on Yahtzee a bit unwarranted (I can almost agree with the arguments there, but it's all in how you say it)
I don't hate Yahtzee, I love the man (almost in a gay way) but I hate some of his stupid fans that don't take the things he says with a grain of salt. It's like when he bashed Halo 3, now everyone loves to bash that game. I'm not saying this as a sony fanboy, but as an Uncharted 2 fanboy, because I loved that game.
Fanboy-spasm over. Sorry if I caused you any emotional distress![]()
I take it this is ironic, because this isn't supposed to be a proper review. It did pretty well by his standards anyway, he almost sounded like he was giving it a recommendation.lwm3398 said:Damn. You know, my friend told me it was a great game, all cinematic and adventurous and sandbox-y... I was just gonna wait for a little confirmation.
Well, it seems I've saved sixty dollars.
he could team up with Hideo Kojima. they would be an unstoppable team.Soullegend said:I dont think I've ever heard someone say so much without ever saying anything meaningful - maybe Yahtzee should go into politics...

Well, he said he didn't do sequels and Mewtwo is no different than MW so there is no reason for him to do that.khululy said:ziggybogidou said:So DA: origins next week?
or borderlands?
Maybe *gasp* MW2?
I doubt it, good isn't funny.
No offence:
Besides being pretty MW2 is just another shooter Borderlands has it's very own style and dragon age is a very immersive fantasy rpg that is just different from most of the tolkienesque rpgs.
Kinda like The Witcher it has a more believable fantasy world one that isn't a world of good looking set pieces with cartboard cutouts for characters. (well The witcher had pretty stiff character animation in dialogue but as for the story it is just wonderful.)
I think the whole hype around MW2 is not deserved but maybe it's because I don't really like "realistic" shooters.
the obvious solution being to find a protagonist who would not feasibly collapse into a pile of whipped cream with a cry-cry face.Yeah, I liked Drake too. I'm not sure what Yahtzee's ideal is for the perfect protagonist. If he values realism as the most important factor, then the whole game would be Drake panicking and going into a fetal position from all the gun fights.
yes, because the one thing that unites the gaming community is that they're all happy and agree with each other. The man should not be a gamer, he doesn't enjoy very much...
I think being born in Britain and living in a former British colonial nation leaves him more than entitled to refer to British television. And he isn't british no matter how many times he tries to hump the british flag during his reviews from doctor who and bbc references in this one to many others. Seriously check back, he's so much in love with britain, he should just make love to the queen and be done with it.
see why numerical scores are fundamentally terrible? even given that spiel, a score of four in ten is the absolute lowest this guy's willing to go.4/10 for this review.

there are those who love him and will follow his word to the bone
and those who hate him and will come on here to bash his reviews (mainly the ones where he bashes their favorite love life game)
lolll I'm primarily a 360 gamer (I use 'primarily' and 'gamer' almost hesitantly, I prefer to see myself as a determined student hehe, much better connotations outside of gaming forums in say, oh, the real social world), and I don't hate him for bashing say...Halo
he liked Gears and that was just funny (lol...w/e)
yeah I'm kinda tired, so I'm kinda rambling...sorry
hahaha oh no it's fine, I'm not one to judge where people put their time and devotion
cuz in the end we're all wasting our lives playing some form of video games-WAIT I MEAN we are all entitled to the pursuit of happiness
unless you live in like, Cuba
or Utah
