I know this is a highly polarized political season, but do politics and video games really need to jump on the zealous interest lobby wagon too?

Stayed up until TWO O'CLOCK Australian time to watch this! What a great idea. I'm just insanely relieved that Yahtzee wasn't announcing the end of the series, and subsequently my life. *PHEW!*

Kudos to Yahtzee for trying to get people aware of the VGVN! A lot of young folk may not realize that political parties are trying to take away the games we find so much fun.

thanks Yahtzee, this is exactly what an informational episode should be, shorter, to the point and tacked onto a full episode earlier the same week.

Interesting. It can only help that someone who gets as many views as Yahtzee has taken up the cause, especially as video games are currently being scapegoated as badly as they've ever been in America at the minute. If videogames can ride this out, then the politicians will have to move their moral crusade onto something else, because this kind of bullshit isn't going to ever completely go away.

I live in Britain, but I support the cause nontheless since the American market is a massive chunk of the gaming industry so whatever happens there will affect me here in big ways.

If there's anything I can do could someone quote/reply to this and let me know, please?

OT: Not the anti-fun brigade! I'm not sure this currently applies to me since I'm not american but I appreciate the idea in general.
A Governor Schwarzenegger joke, he'd be part of the system in that area that needs convincing.

I have looked at the site and it is looking good. Great of you to mention it. But I'm 16 and not American so I wish you the best of luck.

By the way: Is video game violent a big problem in Europe? Here in Denmark we don't hear anything about it, what's up in the other countries?

Yeah, but I'm not American and I can't help. Subsequently all of my friends are also non-american and they can't help either. I wish it were that easy :D Can't foreigners cast a vote or something? It's killing me that I can't do a single bloody thing!

Awwwww. Is that it? And I don't even live in America...(Netherlands)
that shouldn't stop you from voicing your opinion on this. Maybe people outside American can make a big difference in showing their support of video games. So go out there and get the word out to your Netherland buddies :D

Start paying attention, people. Yahtzee isn't the only, or even the first person to harp on about this. There are millions of gamers, but the Voters Network has only a few hundred thousand. Get off your lazy bums and contribute to the cause
