You know, if I noticed that there was no ZP around Christmas, I'd chalk it up to "Oh, he's having some time off at Christmas, that's cool, I can wait."
I wouldn't rant and get worked up because I'd have to go without one of my weekly 5 minute videos. Also, just because someone else (MovieBob) doesn't take a week off, doesn't mean Yahtzee has to update this week as well.
I kinda think you getting this worked up over him not telling you he's taking a week off is the infantile thing here.
OT: Let him have a week off, guys, he more than deserves one. And seriously, it's Christmas. Who didn't see this coming?

You can take Christmas off. You can take New Years' off. You can take Easter off, you can take ITLAP off...hell, you can just take a week off.
That does not necessitate a non-release of content. You can work lightly all year long to have some emergency-type episodes ready to go for any reason. There's no reason to not do it, especially without warning, unless you are trying to make a statement.
You say he deserves a week off, and I am not arguing that in principle; it just doesn't have to mean that there is no Zero Punctuation this week.
I bet the people taking orders for all his licensed merchandise sold on Escapist didn't take a single day off...if you're making money on Christmas Day, you should have a video up Christmas Week.
