"yeah, hold on" Ian says after Wraping the zombies head with his vest then quickly snapping it's neck, "I'm taking these mafioso's guns". After checking the mag counts, Ian came up with two handguns with four clips and one tommy-gun with one and a half magazines. "okay Vinny, I'm ready", he said, "let's go, and speaking of food...."

"I understand." said Tom,"I'll meet you later"
Tom quickly ran off, trying to chart a course through the fog.
"Goddamn fog isn't letting up..."
Tom hears his walkie talkie going off. "Hey! HEY!! Is there anyone there?"
as tom was talking, a zombie started to shamble up. "OI! Is anyon-" Tom hearing the shuffleing, starts to take cover and fires at the zombie. He continuously pelts the zombies head as the bullets continue lodging themselves perfectly in the chest. "Damn, it isn't working..."
Tom, suddenly realizing this is a zombie and not a human begins to take aim and fire's one bullet straight in the brain. the zombie stops and drops to the ground. He quickly checks the zombies and finds a keycard to his office building.
"Oh thank god, I remember my father leaving some ammo in his safe."
Tom then set out for his office.

Terrence scrambles after Vinny and the group, holding a roughly 2x4 plank in his hand as a makeshift club. "Guys, there's an Italian restaurant about a block down the road... And it's defensible."
"I was there a few days before... before all this happened. The windows had steel bars over them, and there were apartments upstairs, too. I'm not sure if the food will have kept... but we should at least check it out. I don't know about you guys, but I'd like a safe place to sleep."
An eerie cry echoes through the streets as the sun breaches the rooftops, shining fully on the group. "And by the sounds of it... we better get moving."

For anyone interested, I'll be starting a supplemental story to this, set in San Francisco. Of course, I already asked for Sosa's leave. Since I realized it'd be incredibly confusing to keep the side-story in-thread, I'll be opening it in a new thread Friday night.
Rules are the same as Sosa's, but I'd rather it if people PMed me with character sheets and let me introduce them, so as to prevent Deus Ex Machinas. I'll be keeping the time of the story taking place the same with this one; that way the stories have a sense of being connected.
If you're interested, just PM me and I'll see how many people want to do this. If there's less than four people (excluding myself), then it probably won't happen.

Chuckling quietly, Terrence leads the group down a nearby alley, thankfully lit by the rising sun. "It's right down here." he calls over his shoulder. "It's kinda run down, but still. Well, the door's right around this corner."
A good ten feet ahead of the group, Terrence turns the corner. The color drains from his face as he yells "Shit!" He dives backwards, narrowly avoiding a rushing zombie. With a twirl of his body, Terrence brings the 2x4 full-force against the back of the creature's head; splattering blood and brains all about.
Panting, Terrence says "Okay... When the hell did they learn how to run?" Rolling the body over with his foot, he gags as he realizes "Holy... that's the owner."
He turns back to Vinny and the group. "Well... what now?"

"Well, we can still use this place. The guy probably just left a door open and got surprised. We just need to clear it out, and we'll be good. Let me just grab his keys." Vinny says as he bends over the dead body. He snatches the keys and begins moving toward the back door.
"You guys just wait here." Vinny says. He goes inside. The smell of death wafts out of the restaurant like a wave. Covering his nose and mouth with his shirt, Vinny investigates the scene. It's pitch dark. Vinny finds himself in the middle of the main dining area. His eyes adjust, and he realizes that he is surrounded by monsters. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" He sprints out of the building and closes the door. He locks it, then pushes a dumpster in front of it. He turns toward the group. "Yeah, the restaurant's not gonna happen."
"We could always hit the campus, it may not be a perfect idea, but before the hospital I was there and the infected weren't too many" he said helpfully. "may not be too much food but it'll keep, it's two miles from here and should take us about 50 minutes to walk there".
Terrence scratches his chin, a look of concentration on his face as he flicks bits of rotting flesh from his board. "Two miles... through an infected city swarming with zombies."
Sighing slightly, Terrence spins lightly on his heel. He looks at the sky, quietly chuckling to himself. "Oh, why not? I've already almost died twice in the last twenny-four hours." He looks over his shoulder and says "I just want a place to nap."

"Same here." Vinny says as he does an about face and begins marching down the alley. He gets to the end and finds himself confronted with a wall of fog. He checks his watch. 10:00. The fog is lasting longer. He turns to the group. "So, who wants to go first?"
Terrence mutters under his breath. "You're kidding, right? I don't have anything but a damn board as a weapon. Craig should go. He's got the most firepower."
"How about that Craig?" Vinny turns to face Craig. A heavy weight slams into Vinny from behind. He stumbles forward and turns around. A bewildered-looking man is standing where Vinny had just been standing. "Who are you?" Vinny says as he raises his pistol. "I'm Carl. Carl Mackenzie. Please, don't kill me."
Vinny lowers the pistol. "Alright. Come with us. We're going to safet-" A pair of arms wrap around Carl's midsection. They belong to a zombie that has just hopped out of the mist. It wears a name tag that reads Joe. Vinny aims his pistol, but he can't fire without hitting Carl. The zombie's jaws wrap around Carl's jugular vein. They fall to the ground. This gives Vinny a clear shot.
He fires, and the bullet goes through the zombie's head. The body tumbles off of Carl. "Oh god, it hurts so much." he moans. His neck is bleeding profusely. Reuben decides to do his part. He leans over Carl, who has stopped moving. Without warning, Carl lunges from the concrete ground and bites Reuben squarely on the neck. "Get him off!" Reuben screams. Vinny fires another shot, sending a bullet through Carl's head. He stops moving.
Reuben rears back from the body and slumps against a wall. "Owwwwwwww......... It won't stop throbbing. Make it stop..........." He stops moving. Vinny looks away as Reuben begins to stir and emit a low, guttural moan.
OOC: Canadianwookie was been inactive for a long time, so his characters were auctioned off. Voodoopigs claimed Steve, but nobody claimed Joe the Zombie or Carl Mackenzie. Also, Voodoopigs asked me to kill off Reuben, so it has been done.
"Here terrence", Ian says, handing him a pistol,while using the other to fire a round into Reuben's head. "I dunno what we're gonna do about this fog, but I think we'd better save any walking for until it clears". Ian looks around and spys a big dumpster in the alley and looks inside. "may not be pretty, but I suggest we sleep in this.", he says with a tired look, "least it's empty". Ian puts his pistol back in his pocket and climbs in the dumpster.
Terrence chuckles dryly under his breath. "I thought doctors were supposed to be all about hygiene." With a sigh, he shoves the pistol in his pants pocket and climbs into the dumpster.
