The commotion in the safe-zone wakes Ian from his slumber. "whaddafux goin' on", he says with a sleep heavy voice, "Vinny, Liz, where are you guys?" all the sudden he sees a man vomit all over the floor freak-out and run away, finding himself wondering if the infection has finally hit the last "known" safe area. getting up and checking his weapons, he runs over to vinny. "What the hell's going on with that guy?" he asks hurridly. Realizing that vinny is the unannounced leader of their group and worrying about the others he asks "and where the hell is everyone else"? fearing the worst, Ian begins to check his ammunition and pulls his piece to chamber a round.

The Tank slowly wrenches the truck free of it's position in the wall of the drug store. Before any creatures can crawl through the new opening, a disused radio behind the counter crackles to life. "I am broadcasting on all FM frequencies. If there are any survivors out there, come to the KCEP radio station. We have food, water, defenses, and shelter. Repeat. If there are any survivors out there, we ha-" The batteries of the radio die, cutting off any communication.

I figured I'd throw you guys a lifeline.
Adrian heard the crash. The mall was surrounded by a great number of people. Some were already running, or shuffling in his direction. He took up the shotgun, aimed at the group of four advancine upon him, and fired twice. The shells split and hit all four, tripping them and knocking them back as they snarled and screamed. He ran to the side, seeing a back exit to the mall with "Freight Entrance" written above. He ran full pelt down this road, nearly skidding as he rounded an upturned car, and sprinted past a lorry on it's side. A hole had been knocked into the wall, and he made for that.
After her call, two of the victims made particularly loud noises, standing out in the macabre symphony of groaning. Nikki moved over to the first, finding Terrence, noticing he still looked pretty roughed up. "Terrence, it's me, Nikki. Are they taking good care of you?" She looked down at her clothes, some of his dried blood still on her. "Well... you seem better, for sure!" A grin flashed across her features, probably too fast for Terrence to notice, as numb as he seemed.
She smiled just from seeing the two, looking over at Rayne just to the side of Terrence. "Hey, Rayne... No offense, but you look like shit." She smirked impishly and took a napkin to wipe the blood from Rayne's face. They didn't seem too worried with aesthetics right now. "Hold on..."
Veronica quickly ran off and got a rickety chair, then returned. "There. Now you two rest and I'll watch over you guys. Michael's fine as well, he went just a moment ago, I think he was trying to find Vinny, who is also fine. Sorry, I'm rambling. Just relax and get better."
She took Rayne's hand in hers, and smiled. "We'll have the group together in no time." Nikki leaned back with a relieved, prepared to sit there for as long as it took, even though a gnawing feeling in the back of her head told her there certainly wouldn't be time for that.

Ryan had waited at what must have been 2 or 3 hours. He felt no different and he didn't crave blood, flesh or any other thing, only a can of coke. but what if he went out and got gunned down. Ryan thought for a while and finally untied himself from his pit. He nervously popped his head out for a quick glance and advanced to the nearest shop. He saw a carton of orange juice but that would do him fine.

He walked back into the mall but couldnt find the group anywhere. He wandered the mall and finally found Vinny and terrance, who was in bad shape. To be honest, I nearly died in the hospital too, when the roof collapsed and we all got split up. Meeting Reuben, Finding Terrence and Malachi in a store room. Then finding that Vinnie had managed to get in a fight with monster. Another newomer joined with us then, Ian. Escaping the hospital and running into the mist.
Finding the italian restaurant and getting attacked by the Tank, running away again and seeing Reuben get eaten. Then the Hunter that shot itself. The Police Station. All the new survivors. Running to the mall when Vinnie let another horde in. And finally, finding this place.
I got up to see if I could scrounge something to eat. Thats what it's come to now, scrounging. I let out a long sigh, I felt the moment deserved one. I spotted a wireless and picked it up, It had a lot of batterie power left. I fiddled with the various switches.

"Yeah, that pretty much sums up all I wanted to know" Ian says as he sees some one walking towards him and vinny. " Hey, aren't you the guy who was freaking out and that everyone thinks is infected?" Ian questions in a sing-song voice, " Because, if you "are", you might want to avoid those soldiers just over there." Ian looked at the man, not directly pointing his pistol at him but not lowering it either. "And if you turn, I'd hate to have to waste a bullet on you or have you hurt my companions."

"Sure you are kid, sorry to break it to you, but if one of those things draws blood, you become a thing." I stepped closer behind the scaggy kid with the radio still playing it's rescue call in my hand.
"Ian, you seen Vinnie? I have something to show him,"lifting up the radio.
"You should take a look at that kid, it's a bit weird he hasn't turned yet."

Nikki stopped herself from laughing at her stupid joke, then suddenly realized she still had Terrence's pistol on her. "Thanks for letting me borrow this," she said, making sure the safety was on before slipping it in under Terrence's arm. "I didn't use it, so the bullets should all be there."

"Oh. I haven't gotten a look at that gun. What model is it? How many bullets you got, and what calibre?" The survivor in her kicked in again. She seemed all but reinvigorated, and it was a sight for sore eyes in this place of either militaristic stoicism or broken men. Nevertheless, the pain of standing on her own would be a tad too great at the moment. If someone had some painkillers or something.. Her mind raced to find the fastest solution to geting out of here.. before she slowly realised.. were would they go? Before I can find Vinnie, a wave of tiredness seeps over me. I find the nearest un-occupied bed and lie in it, I take off my jacket and place it over the radio. If Vinnie wants to talk to me, he can find me himself.

Suddenly, he was flying through the air, the wind knocked out of him. He felt a sharp pain on his back, and was suddenly sliding. A man...at least, it seemed like a man; had hit him in the back with it's huge muscular arms, sending him flying through the drug store, through an already damaged window, and sliding across the polished floor of...wherever he was landing. He was aware of several noises round him, but was struggling to catch his breath, and felt sick. A roar filled the air. He tried to move.

Ian sighs, " listen, you're probably gonna turn sooner or later, maybe not now, but eventually." Ian walks over to a cantina area to get some food. "so, what's your name anyway?" he says to the stranger, "I'm Ian, I'm a doctor, and I'll try to help you anyway I can until you turn."
"I wont turn!" says Ryan abruptly "My name is Ryan. I erm worked in mcdonalds, I will try to make you fat until we all die!" Black humour spreads about the conversation and they both smile.
"Sorry about that whole anger thing. I saw my Family ripped up infront of me and im not in great shape right now. Please to meet you Ian"

I've entered the mall, but I'm not sure what kind of security you have around the safe zone, as I'm about to come running with a few Lickers and a Tank in tow. Is there anything I should know before charging in?
Well, the military is probably going to shoot at you if you're being chased by a horde of monsters. However, I'm just curious, how did Adrian manage to get from the drug store to the mall so quickly? They're not exactly close together.jebussaves88 said:
