High-Mane growled when the dog sank his teeth in his skull. He only draw blood, and the wound healed within seconds, but he let go of the Pup. He was unconcious anyway. The dog stood threatening, fur raised and fangs bared. High-Mane was getting annoyed. This hunt was worthless, Red-Fang had been injured and Fire-Arm wasn't here.
The dog jumped him again, but High-Mane hit him aside. He flew away with a high-pitch and fell behind a cart. High-Mane gestured for the pack to leave it, he wasn't worht their time. He crouched by Red-Fang. He had stopped breathing. His eldest cub was dead.
High-Mane left the body and picked up the Pup. He spoke to the limp body.
You will fill the gap he left. You will be my heir, and suffer while doing so.
He threw the pup over his shoulder, and left the blood-splattered tunnel, his pack trailing behind him.
