Appearance: A slight, bearded old man with messy grey hair, and stubble to match. Wears thick-rimmed glasses, and a long trenchcoat covering a battered suit.
History: Winston grew up on a country estate in West Sussex, England. Here he learned many skills, such as fencing and hunting, indeed his father would often take him on elaborate hunting trips, and although Winston secretly despised these, he learned how to effectively shoot a gun. Winston was always the smartest in his class at school, and went on to Oxford University to study History. He spent many years as a lecturer and professor of history, publishing a large number of journals and reports.
However, he soon become fascinated with the history of Italy and Rome, and so moved permanently to Rome in the 80s to reside and study there (by this time he was very wealthy). Winston became intricately familiar with everything about Rome, from the Catholic Church to the might of the Roman Empire.
When the apocalypse struck, Winston was one of the few to get out of Rome alive, although many cardinals locked themselves inside the vatican, never to be seen again. He fled to a village in France, named Clamecy, where he met up with a group of survivors.
Skill: Shooting (although not particularly well), fencing, tracking, vast historical knowledge.
