DarkLokie, I've noticed Day Z. Haven't gotten to play it yet, sadly.

Zaik, I'm actually a fan of Dead Frontier, haven't played since it was just 2D though.

Also, I could perhaps be satisfied if the upcoming State Of Decay on XBOX LIVE arcade has character creation and at least some multiplayer.

No offence but 'Lost City' sounds like a really, really cheesey name for a city. Liberty City etc? Imagination for cities is good.
Apart from that it sounds really like what the Dayz console version is sounding like.

Two words pal: Control Customization. Looking at what you've got there it seems that you're basing your controls off of Battlefield and Call of Duty. Perfectly valid mind you, but many of us like different control setups: I'm used to Halo's controls, but I use a completely custom setup whenever possible. For example, in Borderlands 2 I use a Halo-style control setup but I have Left Trigger as aim down sights and right stick as grenade. Left Stick is Crouch and Left Bumper is sprint, while right bumper is special ability. Left Trigger, stick, and Bumper are movement controls, while Right bumper, stick, and trigger are attack controls. Everything else is Halo-esque, as in A is Jump, B is Melee, X is reload/contextual action and Y is switch guns. Flexibility is key here: you want to appeal to a wide array of people, and not everyone likes a strict control setup. Do what Valve does with controls: every button can be switched around, with completely new control setups as a result. Hell, Gearbox topped that with Borderlands 2, with that AND presets, making creating the perfect control setup for you MUCH easier.

I do enjoy personal control mapping, what I listed was simply a base point for consideration. (I'm a Battlefield fan, Halo as well, but not a COD fan, but that's more for it's gameplay, not it's controls.)
