Hey, I heard of the up coming game called Left 4 Dead and i'm probilly going to get the game. What other good zombie games are there for 360 or PC? Not Dead Rising either.
bitchin reality first time i have ever read that... awesomeScarletmarine said:I swear if I was the idiot who came up with the games I would think. Zombies a hardly tapped resoruce. Then again, maybe that's what makes it so specail when a real zombie game comes out(No alien zombies or VooDoo zombies or anything but a virus... bitchin reality).
yeah it's true. Games constantly reward people for wasting a crap load of bullets but yet they never reward them for being conservative with ammo.Crazybuddha56 said:Besides Dead Rising, I cannot think of any, but I have a bone to pick with Left 4 Dead. Frankly, when I think of a zombie game, I think of a slow paced shooter where most of the fear and fun comes from the tension of knowing zombies are everywhere and even hearing their moans. That's what annoys me about Left 4 Dead, its a run and gun shooter, where the zombies are fast and there's ammo everywhere. I think zombie games should be more about survival and less about the action, infact, the game should reward you for avoiding wasting your precious, precious bullets.
What about it? It was a game that had zombies...not a game about zombies.NOOBSWTF said:what about half life 2?
Revelo said:I would love to see a Zombie Game based on World War Z and the Zombie Surival Guide, given that in the last decade Zombie films like Romero's have become rather popular again there is a lot of untapped potential. I avoided Dead Rising as I felt simply being stuck in a Mall, despite the sandbox nature was rather limited. I want to see the whole world suffering from a Zombie outbreak.
The concept is already there in the Fallout series, your a survivor hiding in a secure bunker somewhere in a devastared world. It should be a simply matter to take that concept and alter it for a Zombie Game. Adding in a skill system like in Mass Effect and Oblivion where you start off with some skill in things like swords, Shotguns, and similiar to how Dead Rising and Mass Effect do it, have a group of players alongside you who you find during the outbreak. They of course have different skills to bring to bear.
Then it's a case of finding a secure location to hide, regroup and getting ready to fight off the Zombie Hordes, which take you into abandoned Military Bases or Cities to try and scavenge for what you need, and also allowing you to develop your base to make ti mroe self sufficient, by adding crops or radio communications, and from there on your actions affect how the world fights back, aid the humans in reclaiming the Earth or decide to try to rule the Zombie world yourself for example.
I could go into more detail, as I have plenty mroe ideas to bring to the table, and I know games have been there and gone all the concepts I have mentioned, but this is just how i think a Zombie Game should be.
