"Really, I wouldn't mind. It's not like we've got anything better to do." He said to Lisa.

As he got up, the skin on his arm hung loosely, and blew in the wind. It even started falling off in small portions, but JD didn't notice.

"Lead the way, Nurse Lisa! Just don't poke around in the wrong "places". The whole idea of a hot female doctor examining me is a little exciting." He said, everyone giving him a funny look.

"What? Don't blame me, blame the hormones!"

".....Well now. This is an interesting turn of events," Jacobs said to everyone as they looked at him uncertainly.
"I guess 'interesting' is the right word. More like weird things always seem to happen to us. Should'a stayed at the cabin," Albert muttered, getting comfortable and resting.

"I advise keeping watch of him. Mainly because if he is indeed infected, then shouldn't your old teacher be able to communicate with him," Alan told Adries, thinking about how JD could be used for their own benefit.
"Oh shi- you're right! Never even thought about that," Adries said.
"Also, don't get too close to him. Actually make sure no one gets too close. Remember that if any of his blood or anything like that gets inside of your bloodstream..."
"Fuuuuuccccckkk. Shit, this is why we have you Alan."
"Because I think?"
"Basically."

Lisa reddened slightly then led him to the side of the room and pulled out a spare chair.
"Thanks. Hold on a second."
She went to the bathroom and washed her hands with boiling hot water, then went to get the first aid box. She grabbed the surgical mask she'd taken from the clinic and put it over her face. She couldn't be too careful. She then went back to JD and started. First taking a small torch from the box; clicking it on.
"Follow the light with your eyes?"

JD obediently did as he was told, following the torchlight with his sight; his catlike pupils closing and opening with each wave.

"Well, anything else you wanna look at?" JD asked the temporary nurse.

He looked down at his arm. Most of the skin was naturally flaking off, and his fingertips began to sharpen, ripping off the remainder of the skin on his fingers.

"You might wanna check that out." He said to Lisa, holding out his mutated arm.

Lisa winced lightly at the sight, nodding; putting away the torch and grabbing a seat for herself.
"Does it even hurt anymore? Can you feel anything? You aren't bleeding per se. I don't even know what this stuff is." She asked thoughtfully, taking the arm carefully around the wrist and forearm.

She felt the light thud of pulse after a while as she felt the arm. It was hard to determine what it was doing, It was rough to the touch and almost like it was becoming stronger.

"Nope, can't feel a thing. Maybe being impervious to pain is one of the perks of being a Special?" He said quizzically.

Then he put his face close to Lisa's.

"I want you to punch me as hard as you can, right in the kisser." He said, nonchalantly.

"P-punch you?" Lisa remarked with disbelief, moving back a little.
"What if you aren't impervious?! I'm not going to smack you in the face!"

"Yeah, but what if I am impervious? C'mon Lis, you'll never know until you find out." He says, tapping his cheek, tempting her and fate.

"You can even punch me as hard as you can! Go on! Bop the black guy across the face!" He says, tempting her even further.

Lisa giggled at his attempts, "No! Believe it or not, you're not a pain. I'm not gonna punch you!"
A few moments passed of further nudging and prompting as she looked over his arm. She let out a defeated sigh.
"Look. I'm not happy about it..."
She pulled back her arm and balled a fist. Throwing a heavy punch across JD's face. The 'thwack!' could be heard and she brought her arm back.
"Oh damn. I'm sorry!"

The attack sends JD flying out of his chair, and into the nearest wall. He holds his jaw as he struggles to get up, while yelling obscenities and yelping in pain.

"Jesus Christ Lis, you hit like a grown man!" He says, spitting out blood, and holding back tears.

"Okay, so I'm not impervious to pain in every place, just on the arm."

As he got up, Lisa jumped from the present state of his face. His left eye was different. The catlike pupil and the red dots in his iris remain but his sclera (the white part) was now black, and his iris was now somewhat yellow. Black veins also appeared from the sides of the eye.

Lisa raised a hand a few inches from her mouth and stood. She was in a state of shock, unable to do anything other than apologize.
"Oh god JD! I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry! I told you it wasn't a good idea! I'm sorry!" She gasped desperately grabbing some fabric from the box, running it under the cold water then going to his side.
Guilt hit her hard as she looked at the eye, it scared her a little as it looked back at her. She put the cold rag to his face.

"It's okay Lis, I'm fine, i'm fine." JD says reassuringly, while taking the rag.

"I must got one hell of a shiner eh? seriously, you should like, take up boxing or something!"

As he finally gets to his feet, he walks over to a mirror to see if there's any bruises.

Then he saw his face.

He turned to Lisa, the cold rag still over his eye.

"So...I guess this is how a Special takes damage, huh?" He asked her.

"...I've never seen any special infected get harmed this close. Most of the other specials we've seen we've had to fight in distance, normally with aerial support and all kinds of high action weapons. Never a fist-fight...It looks so...painful." Lisa explained with a still guilty tone, looking down to her feet after a while.

Is it too late to join? Its been a a while since I have RP'ed but I figure I have a few weeks off from school and this might be fun....

{
Name: Mitchel Adrian Carver. He typically goes by his last name
Age: 19
Occupation: student
Favorite subject: Theatre but he is studying to be an architect
Items in book bag: pencil, pen, multi-tool pocket knife. Notebook. Copy of Much ado about nothing. also has a cylindrical document carrying case for architecture projects
Personality: Carver is a pretty easy going person. He is friendly and finds it easy to fit into just about any group. He isnt really labeled in any one "Click" as he spends time with all of them. This makes gives him the potential to be a very charismatic leader, but he has no problem with being a follower if he sees it would be best for the group. Basically a real team player.
Backstory: raised in michigan. His family moved and he arrived at sly high. He got along with everyone and found a variety of activities. In michigan his father taught him about cars. Maintenance, repair etc. He carried that knowledge to sly high in shop classes. He also began to love theatre. He is frequently in school productions. He also played for the football team as second string tackle. }

Jack had been listening and decided to intervene.

'You can tell Lisa this if you like or have her confirm, but no. You are the rarest of all special infected, part human and part zombie. While I don't know if that will change in the future, that is what you are now. A full special infected would never have a bruise or feel pain. We regenerate over a time, and while we do bleed it does not last long as the regeneration is fairly quick. If the trauma is immense though, through say decapitation, crushing, disembowelment, dissolved, etc we can die. Regeneration only goes so far and you in fact could test it on your zombified arm if you like. If you were to cut it, with say a knife, the damage should regenerate. On the pain front, our nerves are as dead as the ones in your zombie arm, I could theoretically shoot myself in the head and would feel no pain and not die.' Jack thought to JD in answer.

'I'm sorry if you find me intrusive, but I feel my knowledge could actually be useful here. You may tell Lisa all of this if you like, but I would appreciate you not telling anyone else in the group. I have a feeling they are not holding up the deal I made with Lisa, and so I feel they have not earned any of my knowledge or trust.'

((While the question of if you join does not fall to me. I personally see no problems with it.))

((P is the ultimate decision maker. I doubt he'll have a problem with it, and usually it comes down to the group. We've never denied anyone before, and I doubt we'll start now. So you stand a very good chance.))

(( a few questions. What city/state is sly high in? how many students where there? and how big was the city and or town? And the combat isnt obviously gunslingers and borderline samurai stuff. does it qualify more like a silient hill game where fight/fight response is critical and combat is more of less improvised with whatever is on hand, or have I completely missed something?))

((Well the city is unknown name/unknown state, but I think we are in the northeast united states judging by size and style used. There were 3000+ students, but the number has dropped significantly and the school has been abandoned. We have guns, so it's more along the lines of a left 4 dead/resident evil mix. I'm actually rping as the leader of the zombies and have taken the city as my own, the human survivors are out in the forest near the city. We are probably the size of a small new york considering the size of all of the buildings present.))

1)I never really established a proper location for the school, but the location I based the school off of (a high school called Brooklyn Tech) is in Brooklyn, NY.

2)The school houses around 3000+ students (Brooklyn Tech is a giant school; it takes up like two city blocks IRL).

3)Just think of the five boroughs of New York to think of a size.

4)It's more of a Left 4 Dead Style more than anything.

Bonus!!)FYI, they left the school ages ago, and are now at a abandoned Police Station. just so you know. I Don't know if we'll ever go back.

EDIT: Ninja'd, but damn Blaze, you were spot on with your description! That was almost word for word!
