"now as i was saying The Cold War which lasted from 1945 until 1991 was the continuing state of political conflict, military tension, and economic competition existing after World War II, primarily between the USSR and its satellite states, and the powers of the Western world, including the United States. Although the primary participants' military forces never officially clashed directly, they expressed the conflict through military coalitions, strategic conventional force deployments, a nuclear arms race, espionage, proxy wars, propaganda, and technological competition. Now can anyone tell me the two special operations force's from Russia and America that were trained to fight each other that never actually faced off in combat" Nikolia looks around the class
"no takers? fine, Ryan can you tell me the names of the of those two special force's groups?"

"Not at all, Adries." Lording said. "Please, take a seat."

Mr. Lording looked out to his class. "Now, we should all be working on our monologues. Am I right?" He smiled quickly. "Well, of course I'm right. I'm the one who assigned this. You must feel the character inhabiting your body. Hehe..." He began to snicker, realizing the sexual comment he had just made. "Sorry for being so perverse. We all must have our... childish moments sometimes." He reclined against the table. "Anyways, lets get inside of our character's minds. Any questions?"

Adries looked around at her classmates who were all staring nervously at each other and muttering. 'This is what I get for not being in one of the more advance classes,' Adries thought rolling her eyes before looking over her character's monologue.

"Uh, Mr. Lording," Adries started as she raised her hand, "Yeah. My character is a badass, chessmaster who is a also seemingly genre-savvy. How am I to get inside his mind? He's the smartest man in that world. Any suggestions?"

"Ah. Yes, Adrianna" Mr. Lording began. "You're doing a monologue from Deep Blue. What you need to understand is that, for as long as you are doing that monologue, you are the smartest woman in this world. In fact... stop referring to the character as a man. For when you are playing the character, the character is entirely female."

Being a theatre geek in the real world, I was once given this advice by my drama teacher. I ended up playing Nurse Ratched in Cuckoo's Nest. I just find it kinda funny. Oh well.

"Well, I already am the smartest women in the world so I guess it won't be that hard," Adries replies, batting her eyes and flicking her wrist in a very valley-girl style. A few classmates chuckled while some others scoffed at her. "Yeah, you heard what I said," Adries responded smugly.

"Smartest woman, my dear. I'm pretty sure you aren't two women." Says Lording, chuckling to himself.

Since Slavoj had no classes at the morning hour, he sat in the cabinet filling out forms for ordering new materials. One of the students had a fun idea that ramming into a closet full of glass was a good thing - now the school was practically out of glass containers necesarry for experiments, and it would take a whole week at best to deliver new ones. He sighed and signed the order for 100 new beakers.

"Wha? Oh, gosh sometimes I think quicker than I can speak," Adries replied once she figured out her mistake, "And that's why I fail at oral reports." A few classmates made some rude remarks which then caused a few pencils to be flung at their face.

"So, Mr. Lording...how much will the monologue affect our grades? Particularly mine?"

Matt walks down the empty hallways to his history class and enters as if he wasn't one second late. As he goes past the bin he puts out the cigarette he was smoking on the wall and dumpeds it in the bin. As soon as he takes his seat up the back of the room, apparently not paying attention he starts to lean in his chair.

Ryan spoke in a soft tone..

"Well, I don't entirely know.. But was it Spetsnaz and Marines, I'm not that great on History sir.."

He looked back down..

Personality: doesnt really care whether or not he's in school or at home playing the guitar, mostly hangs with himself or with a few friends at the skate park.

Backstory:his parents were killed in a car accident when he was only 5 years old and he went to live with his uncle who was a known drunk, his uncle could care less if Jason was ever home and that is why Jason crashes at his friends house's almost every night and he barely ever goes home because if he does his uncle will steal all of his cash.

Extra: wears a black leather jacket and black sneakers, wears black fingerless gloves and long baggy blue jeans. his t- shirt has a white skull and a black background.

"Ah, history," Leon thought, "the most underappeciated subject in the world."

All this talk of the Spetsnaz got Leon day-dreaming, filling his mind with images of war and violence, giving him ideas for his movies once he gets out of college. He puts his head on his hand and stares out the window.

Nikolia starts his talk about the cold war, particularly the Russian Spetsnaz "the primary difference between the green beret and the Spetsnaz was the mentality,if you were a spetsnaz your were not to be taken alive, a hand grenade never left your pocket, if you were surrounded with capture being imminent, your were to pull the pin and kill yourselves and those around you"
Nikolia coughs "this following information you are about to hear is rather gruesome but it is important, they had you swim in pools of blood to get used to the horrors of war, if you were doing poorly in training you would be beaten or killed, this was to insure that only the strongest were sent onto the battle field"

Chapter 2: Orange Sky?

And so, seconds become minutes, minutes become hours, and Niko's Cold War lecture is over, as is the History Class. The students shuffle out of the class towards the cafeteria for lunch. Some of the students take notice that the sky is a bright orange, despite it only being 12 in the afternoon, but most pay it no attention. As the bell rings, indicating the end of lunchtime, students make their way towards their next period.

A group of students make their way towards their next class, which is Mr. Krim's class. But before he could start his lesson the Vice Principal comes to his room and leads him away from the children, for the news that the VP was delivering could cause panic among the students, and panic could equal casualties...

As the VP entered the room, Slavoj turned around. "The orders are finished, but we won't be able to do any experimental work for at least a week. I sincerely hope that the student who caused that will be severely punished..."

Mr. Lording dismissed his class and, a few minutes later, received a text from the VP reading Important Announcement in Krim's Class.

Without waiting any longer, Mr. Lording gathered his things and ran towards Mr. Krim's classroom.

Adries watched as the VP entered Mr. Krim's class and took him aside to talk. 'Wonder what this about,' she thought, doodling in her notebook, 'I really hope it isn't about more protective gear.' Her eyes wandered around the classroom before falling upon the window where the sky was clearly a different color than it normally is for that time of day.

'Wow that is a damn nice color. I think that would go well with the blue,' she mused as she brought out a marker close enough to the orange sky and made a few marks on her page.
