((Don't ask me sister, I have no fucking clue. I can pull a deus ex machina and play two roles now if nobody else really cares.))

Jack knew he would be slightly slower now, but he saw the forest up ahead and saw his chance. He immediately drove the car into the forest, shutting the sirens off, he knew the jumpers wouldn't pose a threat to him anymore. Christie and her group though would have to deal with everything. Jack had a plan and found a plastic evidence bag after blindly groping around the car for a few minutes while dodging the trees. He stuck all the notes he had made in the bag before sealing it and sticking it in his pocket. Jack drove towards the raging river, knowing it was his only real chance.

((I have no clue what's going on. Who the hell is Pavlonsky? Is Jack working with someone? Is fucking confused.))
No, no Pavlonsky is no one. I just put a name on a faceless character. I'll get rid of it if it confuses you.

And Christie was chasing after Jack and i added the monster to the equation for added lulz.

"Well this sucks. We should just give up now!" Jacobs said, starting to panic again.
"Chill man! It's jus' a giant smoke monster, if any'ting this makes things more fun!" Dewey said with excitement, still following Jack's cruiser into the forest.

"Wait, isn't the river nearby?" Jacobs asked, knowing the area and suddenly remembering.
"Oh shit! He's headin' for it!" Dewey exclaimed, "Jacobs, get the grenades and the AA12! He's goin' to try to escape there!"
"Really? Seems kinda dangerous...though it would protect him from that giant monster behind us!"

"Just a giant smoke monster?" Lisa asked, passing the Shotgun and grenades to Jacobs., unsure what she should do.
Christie caught her eye, she too was trying to think of some kind of strategy.
"Would the river have any significance here? I mean we don't know much about this thing." Lisa continued.

"...We'll have to see, won't we? Who knows? Maybe that can be key to killing it." Christie replied seriously, now watching the creature still following them, destroying all in it's path.

Jack could see the river coming closer and saw the monster still following them. He knew the amount of water in the river could neutralize the acid. He was especially glad to be a physics teacher because he knew if he could simply make it to the river, their high powered weapons would be useless. The impact with the water would sheer the bullets apart as if they had hit cement and he would be fine under the water. Due to the high volume and power of the raging waters, any zombies would be taken far downstream, so Jack pushed the vehicle as hard as he could as the river came into view. He just had to hope the vehicle wasn't blown up or dissolved before he entered the water.

"What happens when smoke hits water?" Jacobs asked, thanking Lisa as he got the shotgun and aimed it at the cruiser.

"Smoke on th' water~~~!" Dewey sang cheerfully, dodging a log and looking behind him, making sure to stay as far away from the monster as he could.
"True..." Jacobs said, shooting out the back windshield and another tire with the AA12.

Jack lost control as the car swerved sideways and rolled into the middle of the raging waters being slowly carried away. Jack immediately undid his seat belt and got a hand on the door handle, ready to open once the pressure equalized enough. The car slowly sank beneath the water, him being shot at the entire time. With the back windshield blown out by the shotgun fire he quickly sank beneath the water. He slowly opened the door and let the water carry him downstream while the car settled on the bottom. Twenty seconds later he came up for air and could see the soldiers were out of range for their shotguns, he took a deep breath and went back underwater.

Christie felt her temper rising as she scanned the waters for Jack and Dewey continued to drive.
"He is not getting away now." She growled, keeping her rifle aimed at all times.

Lisa was uneasy, keeping her eyes on the back window, the monster was out of sight for the minute but she wasn't putting her gaurd down.
"Don't you think that the huge smoking monster is much more important right now?" She scolded Christie.
"No. Now will you shut your mouth and keep an eye out?"

Dewey drove down the side of the river with Jacobs watching and firing at Jack every time he popped up for air.
"This isn't going to work," Jacobs said, "I might accidentally kill him."
"Throw grenades!" Dewey said, giggling at the idea.
Jacobs tossed one down the river, wondering what would happen. "There's a dam coming up in a bit. A little less than a mile," Jacobs said.

Jack started to swim with the current, knowing this would make take him farther down river faster. He could hear the jeep and periodically let his head come just far enough above water that he could breath and then immediately stay underwater as long as possible. He hoped that the evidence bag would keep the water out so the notes wouldn't be useless. The raging waters were keeping him well concealed in the middle of the river, he had to stay in the water until the jeep went away though. From the sound of things, that probably wouldn't be until the beast chased it off. He felt the explosion, but the force and shrapnel did nothing as the water absorbed most of the energy within seconds and the shrapnel was meant for open air and not water.

"That wasn't going to work in the first place. I'm surprised you wasted explosives like that." Lisa said with some surprise.

"How about i shove one down your throat?" Christie snarled, her mood still angered. She disliked this situation. The river got in her way of getting out and dragging him, and the notion of accidently killing him was too severe to start shooting too much. Her options were becoming limited and with the snarling of the creature not too far away, things were getting difficult.
"Boys, you got any ideas about where we should go from here?"

Dewey shrugged, not really sure.
"Well, er...we can just continue following him? He'll have to stop eventually right?" Jacobs asked, looking out the window and seeing Jack's head pop up for a moment.
"I just thought o' something...weren't we supposed to be goin' after that Alan kid?" Dewey asked suddenly.
"Oh..shit you're right. Well...do we go try to find him or continue after this guy!?" Jacobs exclaimed.

A chord struck.
He's right. Alan wasn't in the cruiser.
"Um. Wasn't finding Alan, the main reason why we're out here?" Lisa asked softly.

Christie nodded but wasn't so willing to leave. However she realized that she needed to get Alan back or it would put them all at risk. Quickly her glower turned into a smirk as she yelled over the rush of water.
"Don't worry Jack! We'll reschedule the ass-kicking! You have a nice swim now!"

Jack didn't hear anything as the water flowed into the damn reservoir. The water was perfectly calm here due to the size with a slight pull towards the spillways on the damn. Jack swam back to shore and recognized where he was immediately.

'Hope they have fun with that beast.' Jack though as he coughed up some water on the shore before walking toward the road that went over the damn. He found a compact four door with the headlights on in the middle of a group of abandoned vehicles. Jack checked the back and front of the vehicle for zombies before climbing in. He pulled out the evidence bag and found both the notes in the condition they had been in when he put them in the bag.

'Well I guess it's time to head back to the HQ for a change of clothes, a shower, and to figure out where I'm going to head next.' Jack thought as he started the vehicle and started to relatively slowly head back toward the city.

"Well, where to then?" Dewey asked, speeding back to the highway, trying to stay ahead of the beast.
"Yeah, Lisa where should we head? You have the ideas," Jacobs asked as he put down the shotgun and the grenades, "Preferably somewhere where we can get rid of this guy."
"Soon too," Dewey added, going on a ramp and managing to get back on the highway.

Lisa hesitated from being put on the spot. Drawing blanks. She gave a sigh and turned on her side, pulling the tracker out and studying the screen.
He's there...?
"What are you doing? Come on. Give us some idea then." Christie suddenly asked with disdain and pulling her shoulder.
She slipped it back in her pocket as best she could, realizing how pathetic her hiding was but it was the best she had.
"Sorry. I was just thinking. Well, I have an idea about where Alan is, but I'm not about sure which diversions we'll want to take. More water?"
"I was thinking some form of distraction. Because at the minute we're at a loss weapon wise. Unless you count the grenades but I'm skeptical about these sort of things now." She added, deciding to call Lisa out later.

"Not much water around here other than the river," Jacobs muttered, trying to come up with something, "Crap, if only it would have stayed back at the base. They're prepared there! Can we call in reinforcements? If we know where Alan is then we can tell them to meet us there and fight the monster? What do you think?"

"Ya'know Jacobs, you'a lot smarter than everyone says," Dewey said with a chuckle as he swerved to void a car crash.
"Why thank you," Jacobs replied.

"If we get them to meet us at an certain area, they can take over destroying it and we can go get Bixler. We mustn't forget that we actually need him alive and should keep him away in case he inhales too much smoke or is absorbed." Christie added to the plan before getting her phone,
almost calling her superiors out of habit.
She noticed that she'd missed several calls from them before handing the phone to Jacobs.
"I don't know the number to call. You can put the number in and i will talk if you want."

Lisa felt a feeling of reassurance when Christie spoke against calling reinforcements outside the school.
I don't need things being more difficult than it already is.

"Sounds good," Jacobs said as he punched in the numbers and handed it back to Christie, "I know that quite down the highway there is a boardwalk type area that would be a good place to get ready for an attack. It'll take us awhile to get there, so our guys should be able to get over relatively quickly and get ready for a fight."

Christie took the phone and held it to her ear. It seemed that her phone had condemned a fair share of people to death within seconds, she hoped this wasn't the same case. The phone call went through and rather stressed sounding Kaufman answered.
"Sir. This is Lieutenant Colonel Bailey. I'm currently in a jeep on the highway with Private Jacobs and Colonel Dewey. We apologize for leaving with such short notice. I take deep regret to tell you that someone impersonating a police officer took Alan Bixler from the clinic a few hours ago. We're currently on Bixler's trail and are about to recover him. The downside to our situation is that the creature that attacked the base not too long ago has tracked us down and is currently pursuing us. Our weapons are limited. We're calling to request reinforcement."
