"Well. I suggest we inform a few other men about some trespassers. More people looking would not be a bad thing. Then get a few to see if anyone was missing from duties in case they were already registered here. Either way, they'll be in for concern." Christie explained logically before moving a few feet to go and speak to a group of soldiers on parole.

"Got it." Lisa replied, watching them and waiting for Adries' word, ready to move quickly.

Jacobs followed her, waving to a few soldiers who said hello, "That's the plan? Sounds like a lot of work, but then again..."

Adries gave Lisa the signal and darted to the office. Once she neared she dodge-rolled past some soldiers and stopped behind the office. "Bam, mad skill," she said.

"This should make things easier actually." Christie said to him before explaining the situation to the men and giving orders. They saluted and went to scan the area for anyone suspicious. She then went over to another group who were sitting in the back of a cargo van and asked them to ask around for anyone that had gone missing.
"...and that is how you cut down work load."

"Well said. And yet you were complaining that you had no real-world skills." Lisa replied after managing to sneak by, following her.
"Where do we go from here? The lab? Or should we lie low for a while?"

"Oh that makes sense. This was certainly a smart idea!" Jacobs said excitedly, looking around for anything suspicious, "What do you plan on doing if we find them?"

"My skills would be better in some fantasy world," Adries explained, "I say the lab can work, though making it back to our 'jobs' might be better. Than we can make up some alibi or something like that. Wait, I don't have a job anymore...shit."

((Sorry that it took so long, I had to go and do some packing and stuff...))

"Why thank you. What I intend to do all depends. If it's someone trespassing, then I'll probably give a small beating, hand them over and go about my business. If it's someone who snuck out then i'll have to report it before I can do anything too gratifying, considering that civilians aren't allowed to leave without permission and they might already be in trouble." Christie clarified, considering where they could've gone in such a short amount of time.

"You can come with me. I'm sure that'd be an okay cover like...We lost track of time and I was trying to help you find some other work to do. Or something less stupid." Lisa said rubbing the back of her neck.

"Sounds good. Let's make a break for it," Adries told her, checking back the way they came before sprinting off. About half-way over to the clinic she remembered she had the gun, so she hid it behind some boxes before making her way to the clinic. "Holy crap! Well, we made it. Now to act cool. Nonchalant," she said, taking a deep breathe before waltzing inside.

"Oh I see. Well as long a you weren't going to do anything too drastic," Jacobs explained as he stood around, finding this to be a trivial, but interesting little mission.

((Argh, I spent most of the night playing L4D2 and I've still only beaten two campaigns! One level in Dead Center took me almost two hours! That kids is why you do not play with incompetent people. As soon as I switched to bots I beat it.
Then Dark Carnival (which is so much damn fun) took me a lot longer because I was trying to get Gnome Chompski to the end of the level (fucking gnome...) which was not fun with all the rolling crescendos.
But yeah, if any of you have it on the 360 I'll play with you. :) ))

"They can't accuse us of anything without a lawyer...I think." Lisa said lightly before going inside and trying to blend in. That failed after the first few steps inside, being called by Dr.Westin in a agitated tone. She stopped, her face suddenly taking a apologetic look, remembering the story they'd made up beforehand.

"Cameron." Christie started, feeling slightly strange addressing him like that to show how serious she was, " I can assure you that I know when to be drastic and when to be lenient. This is a fairly simple situation that doesn't warrant anything more than a few fists thrown."

((Might have to take you up on that. Ugh, I hate the fact that us Brits need to wait until the 20th. After playing the demo, i've haven't been able to wait. Two more days *crosses fingers*))

((No problem. One of my friends has to wait until next Monday to get it. Sucks for him. I will say one thing, it's much harder than L4D. I've actually died on a normal campaign! :O ))

Dr. Westin looked at Lisa with a disapproving look, "Where on earth have you been? Was there that much of a lunch line? Oh well, can't change the past. Just don't let it happen again m'kay?"
"You got out of that easily," Adries whispered to Lisa, taking a seat at a stool.

"Alright ma'am. I just didn't want to have to write anymore reports you see. And firing on someone would require quite a bit. I'm still working on finishing up the one for what happened yesterday," Jacobs said, initially confused at the use of his first name.

Lisa nodded with a smile, replying both to Dr. Westin and Adries before going to wash her hands again in case she'd have to work again. She sat on a bed, pleased that she didn't have to lie to her without prompting now.
"Oh yeah. Dr. Westin would it be alright for Adries to give me a hand?"

"Damn, sorry about that. I didn't even know that reports were necessary anymore- considering circumstances after all. Heh. So which part are you up to? In hindsight, a lot happened yesterday." Christie asked while she took of her glove to inspect where she had been shot.

((Wow, that really is a difficulty upgrade!))

((I'm scared to try it on expert, or expert with realism mode! *is scared* Alright, time to play some Swamp Fever.))

"I'm about past the river part. Heh, yeah reports aren't required but they're well liked, and I'm good at them too. So people usually get me to do theirs too, but I usually get something in return so it's all good," Jacobs explained.

"Well I don't see a problem with it as long as you keep her in line. She seems to be a feisty one," Dr. Westin said, nodding her approval before going back to work.
"Yay, thanks. So, do you actually want me to help or...?" Adries asked her, looking around the clinic with boredom.

"Oh that's good. I felt bad for a second there maybe because I used to hate reports. It wasn't that I couldn't write them, I just prefer avoiding them. So what do people pay you with? Considering that money is useless now?" Christie asked, looking over the large red marks on her hand and fingers.
I don't think i'll forgive the bastards for wasting one of my smokes...

"Well, if you wouldn't mind helping me when someone comes along, that'd be good. It would give you something to do. You won't need to do anything gross, don't worry." Lisa replied looking at the sudden shift of weariness in Adries' face.
"Just wash your hands in case."

no offense but it seems like Vaude and Tsatoma are the only ones that have posted on this in a while, just from looking at this page. Did this rp die or something?

It was kind of like an ant farm. From this high up the broken city wasn't all that different from trails blazed through dirt and grime. Little shapes meandered stupidly below the boy's feet, mildly swarmed at the base of the city bank where Phander was perched. The dead that had caught wind of him ceaselessly clawed at the walls as if their efforts might bring his nest down eventually. [Well, far be it from me to underestimate these things after all this] The nineteen year-old turned away from the four story ledge and assessed his backpack inventory: two lighters, a knife still unused, empty .38 revolver, the photos, canteen, canteen filled with liquor, tea bags, bag of peanuts, duct tape, and a roll of toilet paper with maybe four squares left on it.
"Shit."
He picked up the knife and cut the sleeping bag off of the outside of the backpack, pausing only to untie the sweatshirt from his waist and adorn it. This high up was bound to get cold come nightfall. There was weight in one of the pockets.
"Oh, fuck yeah." Half a pack of cigarettes and his wallet. One of those was useless. He lit one of the sticks excitedly and shouted over the Earth below: "I told you fuckers I never lose 'em!" More ants stirred and a chorus of impudent moans rose up to meet him, boosting the victorious sentiment. Before he chucked the wallet over the side, the boy decided to rummage through it one more time. "Oh." [Guess I did that already on a vodka night] His drivers license was all that was left.
Name: Phander Erza Gastrig
DoB: 01-17-1989
Ht: 5'9"
Wt: 155 lbs
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Hazel

...

Over the side. It was a stupid identity. "Vigil." He tested it out. "Vigil. Gill, for short." Good enough. Anything was better than Phander. [fucking hippy mother] He tried not to cry, even though there was nobody around for probably blocks. A few years of parkour had saved him from a lot of combat. All he had to do was stick to the taller rooftops. He was always afraid to make a permanent base camp, but it just seemed like a bad idea. Phand -er, Gill, unfurled the sleeping bag and crawled inside it. He knew better than to zip it up after last time, but there wasn't much else to do now but sleep. Sometimes he listened to the gunshots and explosions of other survivors -he even heard real sirens once- but he never endeavored to find any of them. [Anyone still alive now'd just be as crazy as I'm becoming] That was always his justification. But...
"What's the point?" Sure, he'd survived this long, but for what? He knew no more about the extent of the situation than when shit first hit the fan, and without having a real objective, there seemed to be a stronger case for being a zombie than a human. [Both of us are just trying to survive. At least they aren't weighed down with cares and sanity] "Purpose." It's what he would need if he wanted to keep on living, and he wasn't going to find it alone. [Tomorrow then] he addressed himself, [Tomorrow we begin looking for new friends] He put out the cigarette and wiped his eyes. He didn't fall asleep right away, but this might be the last 'safe' night he could allow himself, so he enjoyed it as best he could. Just pretend that 'enjoyed' was in air-quotes big enough to breach the atmosphere.

((Damn L4D2, keeping me distracted from this. :p ))

"Oh well, people usually give me stuff. Sometimes they let me have the best food. Sometimes they give me cigarettes and beer, but I give those to the civilians since I don't like them. For the most part though I don't get much, I do it just to help people out," Jacobs replied cheerfully.

Adries nodded and got up to wash her hands. She took her time with it, letting Lisa deal with a few people who came in with minor abrasions. "And done, oh look. Seems like you dealt with everyone fine," she said to Lisa, watching the last person leave.

((Haha, Lucky~!))

"Hm. You're becoming a rare kind of person, Jacobs. Even before the infections, people are notorious for becoming inclined towards themselves before others. You're a good guy to say the least." Christie stated strongly, after considering what she'd wanted to say.
A few soldiers came to her and claimed that no one had been found yet but they were still looking. She gave a secure nod before sending them away again.

Lisa shook her head with a short laugh.
"Well, there wasn't anything serious. A few cuts here and there is nothing compared with what's been dealt with before." She replied, rolling up some loose bandage and getting back to her seat.

"So I've been told. I was just raised this way. It might have been the hippie parents," Jacobs replied, now wondering if it was because of them, "Anyways. Do you have any duties to do ma'am? Or will you be spending your whole day trying to catch the culprit?"

"Right. Oh, before I forget remind me to put the BB gun back to where it's supposed to be. Thanks," Adries told her, remembering that it was still in it's hiding spot.

((Going to start playing again, so don't expect too many replies.))

"No particular duties,I have a few things on mind at the minute thought. In fact, I think I'm late for something now. I definitely won't let this one go, especially since there's a chance that it was somebody on base. If you find anything suspicious you'll let me know later, won't you?" Christie asked, looking at her watch.

"No problem. Where did you even find it before? Or do you just have a radar for this kind of thing?" Lisa joked, remembering where the gun was hidden.

"I will ma'am. These people will be caught and brought to justice," Jacobs replied to her with a salute, "Though, I also need to go and get ready for patrol. I actually first need to head to the office since I was called for something. Guess I'm late for that..."

"When I was over at my last job some kid had it with him. I found out which room he was staying in and 'borrowed' it," Adries said, getting a look from Lisa before explaining, "He looked like one of those rebels that would just cause trouble! It was probably a good thing that I stol- borrowed it from him!"

"inform them that it's my fault. If you're in trouble tell them to take it up with me. You were on your way when you got side tracked by my strange dilemma. See you later, Take it easy." Christie responded with a salute before going towards the office.

She folded her arms.
"You can't just steal stuff from other civilians' rooms, Adries. Whether they look 'suspicious' or not. Though, i don't think i'll say anything more considering that I'm probably an accessory to this theft and that was far too much fun to complain about." Lisa said before a soldier walked in and went directly to Westin without giving either of them a second glance.

Jacobs nodded, heading off towards the office. Even though he was late he still had to wait a few minutes before Conroy spoke to him.
"Alright, this will be a quick one Private. I've been chosen to get a team together to go and get those notes. And I want you to be a part of it," Conroy told him.
"Oh yes sir! Of course."
"Alright then, that's good. I'll probably finish coming up with a list of people I want in this team in a bit. Tomorrow is when we'll head out. Dismissed."
"Sir."

"Whatever. I plan on giving it back! Just when the coast is clear. And watch that kid is going to be a crazy psychopath!" Adries replied, watching the soldier as they went by.
