?Will there be crafting? Maybe taking a truck and a load of players to building sites and scrap yards to look for raw materials that you then take back to your safe zone and break down and make stronger doors and fences and armour for vehicles and body armour??TK421 said:I guess what i'm trying to get at is kind of like minecraft, but without the crafting
Nobody ever likes to hear the word console and the abbreviation MMO in a sentence together. It's mainly due to hours of WoW and it's clones needing lots of keys for lots of spells. If the game is done right and you only need a few buttons then it should work. That seemed to be the biggest flaw when it came to a console MMO in a past thread. Of course, there is the issue of community but hopefully that won't be a problem.Super Toast said:I'm... skeptical. I mean, a console exclusive downloadable MMO? Those words don't mix well.
That article talks about Class 3.Dumbfish1 said:Apparently they've already been accepted.Zachary Amaranth said:It's unlikely to make it to the XBox if there's a subscription model, so I'm curious how they're doing things.
Emphasis mine.Dumbfish1 said:Class 3 is set to be an XBLA game (and not an MMO)
You could say they are to gaming as vampires are to literature. Except zombie games don't produce a horrendously annoying cult fanbase.DanielBrown said:Rather sick of all these zombie games to be honest. I've never been intrested in them in the first place, but now it seems like they are the new fanchise that everybody wants a piece of.
True, although it puts them in a more favorable light when it comes to negotiations if they're releasing a sequel. I guess it all depends on their subcription model and how well 'Class 3' does.Zachary Amaranth said:That article talks about Class 3.Dumbfish1 said:Apparently they've already been accepted.Zachary Amaranth said:It's unlikely to make it to the XBox if there's a subscription model, so I'm curious how they're doing things.

So that doesn't really answer the question, does it?
Urban Dead. Which, I might add, is not bad for a minimalistic, deceptively deep, browser-based game with RPG elements and an entirely player-driven demographic (no NPCs, players are both the survivors and the zombies). The Hive Mind said:What zombie MMOs are there?squid5580 said:Well since the PC is already well oversaturated with MMOs (and yes there is a zombie mmo as well) I don't blame them for putting it strictly on a platform that has what? 2 mmos? Neither one of which is exclusive.
Sounds interesting... shall check it out. I really LOVE zombie games, but so far I haven't played one that is more about survival than just shooting shit. (could this be the one?!)Shade184 said:Urban Dead. It's very simple, totally minimalistic. Don't expect graphics or real-time gameplay. Survival is key here. It's certainy not a game for everyone. The Hive Mind said:Sounds interesting... shall check it out. Most of that last paragraph made no sense to me, but thanks for the tips manShade184 said:It's very simple, totally minimalistic. Don't expect graphics or real-time gameplay. Survival is key here. If you do get into it, I recommend starting as a Firefighter, get Free Running first (look out for Entry Points), then a Hand-to-Hand skill, and work on your pistols from there. And whatever you do, get inside before you run out of AP. (Again, watch for player-made Entry Points.)
No problem. I don't expect it'll make sense unless you get into the game. The Hive Mind said:Most of that last paragraph made no sense to me, but thanks for the tips manShade184 said:It's very simple, totally minimalistic. Microsoft doesn't want people charging to play because it cuts in on Excka Blah Gold revenue or something to that effect. I'm not sure this puts them in a stronger bargaining position, given the litany of titles that have been rejected, some pretty large. I mean, don't get me wrong: This thread got my interest and I hope they work something out and I am VERY likely to buy class 3, but I'm skeptical about the MMO itself making it to the 360.Dumbfish1 said:True, although it puts them in a more favorable light when it comes to negotiations if they're releasing a sequel. True. The only way I can see it happening is if they used some sort of free-to-play model, but buying from xbox live is a major hassle, compared to the relative ease of paypal. Ingame purchases would have to be bought with microsoft points, which might deter a lot of people, It'd certainly put me off.Zachary Amaranth said:Microsoft doesn't want people charging to play because it cuts in on Excka Blah Gold revenue or something to that effect.
