Zombie or Alien Apocalypse?

I just watch the Series Premier of Falling Skies, in a way it reminded me of The Walking Dead. It got me thinking what sounds a little better for survival?
Zombies?
or Aliens?

Aliens can be peaceful and stuff and theoretically reasoned with. Zombies cannot. Though if there was a cleric around...

Assuming the aliens cannot be reasoned with, I choose zombies. They are slow, easy to kill, and have no weapons. Aliens on the other hand have crazy ass weapons that can wipe out the entire species with no problem.

aliens can come in any shape and form, we don't know what to expect. how can we prepare for aliens?
so many people have some form of zombie plan. zombies are easier to prepare for because we live in a generation that's obsessed with zombies

Zombie Aliens would be the best case scenario if they leave behind ray guns before they lose the coordination and cognitive faculties to use them.

Third Option aside, Aliens are very unlikely to travel so far to wipe out what very well may be the only other sapient life in the universe (or to start a war where they can not call for reinforcements or re-supply readily plus, if Star Trek has taught us anything, the most precious resource that humans can offer them is Love...or Lust), so I'd pick them.

Zombies, they are far easier to kill than aliens are (depending on lore and race in question). Zombies don't use any tech or weapons but aliens do and I really don't wanna get shot out at by Tau pulse rifles, Tyranid bio-weapons, Dark Eldar Splinter guns, Eldar ninja star guns and Necron gauss flayers.

Zombies might have numbers on their side but thankfully they are slow as hell and easy to kill if you just take your time and line up your shots on them.

Are we assuming that the aliens are hostile and cannot be reasoned with? If that's the case, zombies would be better for survival. They're not particularly bright or crafty, afterall. All you'd really need to do is seek a defensible position with self-sustaining resources (like the Winchester), then wait it out. If the aliens are assumed to be hostile, there's a good chance they're more intelligent than us (assuming we're the ones being invaded, and not the other way around), there's a good chance they're more advanced than us technologically (making the same assumption), so there's less chance of being able to hide until the whole thing blows over.
