So... I didn't expect to ever hear about him again, but apparently Aaron Carter's still doing concerts... and people still go to them... and enjoy them.

You learn something new everyday I guess. I mean I never disliked the guy's music, but I didn't think he had any staying power whatsoever even if it just turns out to be a small hiccup ultimately.

Did you guys love, hate, or were indifferent to Aaron Carter's music? Do you even remember him?

If decrepit popstars are going to start making comebacks, who do you want to see raised from the dead?

I have no idea who that is. He looks like he walked off the set of some 90s sitcom. That could be good or bad.

I'd say "bring back George Carlin", but that would probably just upset him.

For some reason, this seems appropriate:

OT: I'm not certain of who I would like to see make a comeback. Most of the older artists I like never really stopped performing of making music. Some of them have gone in directions musically that I didn't want to follow, but that's a slightly different topic.

Oh, him? I use him as the quintessential example of what I call "the boy band" effect.

My awesome little sister: I can't talk to anybody about my rock music, all anyone listens to now is Justin Bieber.

Me: He doesn't realize it yet, but he'll be gone in a year. Popstars like him are a dime a dozen. Just ask Aaron Carter.

My awesome little sister: Who?

Me: Exactly.

He'll probably continue to run the circuits for a few years, getting laid by sad 40 year old single moms before sitting back, getting his heroine fix, and dreaming about the time he cheated on Hilary Duff while "I want candy" plays in the background.

I had to look him up to remember who he was. On the subject of ressurecting dead ones... Markoolio, I think. A funny rapper. Big in Sweden years ago. Made PG-rated rap that was mainly popular with kids.

Ill be honest, I was expecting something a little more literal when I saw 'Zombie Popstar'.

If holograms can do it, why not the undead?

I remember listening to his music when I was like fucking four years old or something.

Good times. Actually, more like horrible times, but I was too young to know any better.

Well, the Backstreet Boys had a reunion not too long ago. They even had a concert in my city (sold out).
Take That had a reunion as well.
Hanson is still playing.
Pop culture these days thrives on nostalgia.

Just look at the movies.
Last year, they resurrected Dumb and Dumber and it was financially successful.
This year, we're getting Mad Max, Terminator, Star Wars and even Point Break (fucking Point Break).

Even the video games industry is in on it.
Just recently, there was a (successful) kickstarter for a Toejam and Earl sequel.

I want to see Limp Bizkit make a comeback.

I don't think he has much of a choice:

Aaron Carter Bankrupt:
In November 2013, Aaron Carter filed for bankruptcy in the state of Florida. In the bankruptcy filing, Carter lists total assets at just $8232.16. He lists his liabilities at more than $2.2 million. Aaron apparently owes $1.368 million to the IRS alone. He further listed an average monthly income of $2000 and average monthly expenses of $2005 (a $5 loss per month). Aaron is currently living with a relative and claims his most valuable physical assets are a $500 television, two MacBook computers, a Louis Vuitton backpack and a $3500 Breitling watch
