I dont think people enjoy them as much as Zombies, They lack the Human element we all Love to Hate, Zombies give us the Excuse to kick the crap into our fellow Humans and not feel bad about it, Ultimate stress relief and man slaughter without the reprecussions of killing someone, because when they are zombies "Its Okay"

Meah, I've always preferred Zombies.

Something about a familiar family member coming at you for your brains is worse horror wise than straight up Skeletons.

It takes terror to a whole different level when suddenly everyone you know is trying to eat your flesh.

Twilight's vampires can only be destroyed by decapitation and burning the corpses, and are immune to all religious iconography, scientific harming (Chemicals [Garlic], Sun Light), and all other classic weaknesses.

Twilight Vampires are shiney zombies that can feel teenage angst, and nothing anyone can say can convince me otherwise.

I prefer magic and a fantasy setting actually. so for me that's actually a plus.

Have there ANY recent zombie flicks that have gone for the "magic" explanation? I can only recall the "infected" rationale being used recently.
