In preparation for the Zone of The Enders HD Collection/ZOE 3 that was announced I recently started playing ZOE2 again, and I was very impressed!
The gameplay is as smooth as I remember and the graphics hold up amazingly well. Possibly because of the gradient style of shading instead of a realistic look. The shading and color scheme is really interesting, it is basically cel style colors with a smooth gradient for the shading.
The gameplay is so unique. The closest I can compare it to is Devil May Cry 3 meets Gundam Wing meets Dragonball Z.
Plus the game is quite colorful.
I wish I could play the first ZOE again, but I lost the disc years ago.
Anyone else like this series?
EDIT: In case you are wondering, the new Zone of the Enders 3 game is going to be called the "Ender's Project" and will take place in the past, rather than the future.
This actually fits the series considering all of the main Orbital Frames are named after ancient Egyptian gods.
