Some of my favorite devs up at Zeboyd games (makers of Breath of Death 7, Cuthulu Saves the World, and Penny Arcade's on the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 & 4), Have finally put up the kickstarter on there new Game Cosmic Star Heroine.

Here's the escapist article on the intro animation they put up

Love these guys and everything they do. I honestly think the JRPGs they make are better than anything put out by major devs these days.

Not normally my type of game, but even so looks interesting. Almost certainly going to at least double what they're looking for as well at the rate they're going right now, so good for them.

Not something I'll back on kickstarter but definitely something I'll keep an eye on.

I'm sold. I always wanted an old school sci-fi game, but the classic JRPG's tended to stick to fantasy. The aesthetic is great, the music is great, the cut scenes look great... this looks better than the launch lineup, actually.

Kickstarter's taken enough of my money. As much as I hate to do it, I think I'll pass...

Just 10 bucks? I can manage that, just one more time. I'm addicted to stuff I'm not gonna get till next year.

I actually haven't backed many kickstarters. Due to what I like to call the Kickstarter paradox.

See the people who need kickstarter the most are the start up indie devs. people who have never put out a successful game, and thus have no income to fund there stuff. But, those are also the riskiest ventures to fund. Those are the people most likely to make mistakes with, deadlines and funds and whatnot, because they haven't had the experience before.

Conversely the easy bets are those people who have put out at least one decent game. they are the people who will continue to work on games (if maybe not the one they want) if they don't get funded. These are the ones I tend to back because I figure they are good for it. But

Well and LRR 'cause I love those guys.

Awesome. The characters looked similar to Ragnarok. These guys who created the game would need funds on Kickstarter in order to pay for the audio budget, software and hardware for the game development and testing, art/assets and programming.

Are you referring to me with that statement?

If so yes I know that. they said that they wanted to make this game the way they wanted. with the money they have they said the game would probably only be half of what they wanted. very paired down. They would still make the game but it wouldn't be as big or as good.

Did they finally get rid of that stupid mechanic where enemies get stronger every turn that every zeboyd game has been plagued by, cause if so then I might consider picking it up when it releases.

The heads up is most appreciated! I'll spread the word some.

If I can get it, odds are I will, but money's tight. I wish the game all the best, though.

UPDATE: while CSH was originally planned for PC/Mac/PS4/Vita the newest update has confirmed that it will also be on Linux.
