Not the best lesson to learn when looking for an opinion.

On the whole graphics thing. This is what I warned about back when the price hike happened. To me though, no matter how great any of these games looks, they're not worth the price tag. The fact that this game loos sub-par/average and is at $70, is not helping the Ronin's case. I know the gameplay is awesome, but there's a reason why I go for cheaper games, but the ones I gravitate don't rely on realism or have a unique art style. Hi-Fi Rush is at $40 at launch ($30 at standard edition), and will age gracefully in looks and replayability.
Pretty sure it was made in jest more than anything, but yeah.

Yeah I'm pretty much the spasstic dude on the right but the exchange about how different people have such strongly different reactions to the various combat systems- Niohs, FromSoftwares, Dragon's Dogma, Final Fantasy 7: Rewhatevers.

Which is crazy, because DD and both FF7 games played nothing like a front software game nor like a Team Ninja game. So the comparison aren't really warranted nor make much sense.

Well no I don't think they were comparing the mechanics, more about how they engage with them. The girl one mentioned how Nioh games feel "arcade-y" while the dude on the left really dug them, and while I more agree with her and I know how many really clicked with Nioh and when they explain it I get it but I don't FEEL it.
I am having extremely mixed impressions with FF7: rebirth and if someone tells me they love or hate it I will nod vehemently.

That's just kind of what fascinates me about all this- since we're dealing with fast immediate interaction the impressions can get so visceral. It's like... imagine a roomful of people tasting like 100 different ice cream flavors, you're going to get so many wildly different reactions.

Team Ninja has always been arcadey since day one. Even before DOA and the reboot of Ninja Gaiden, or before the merger, Tecmo pretty much did nothing but either arcade or arcade style games.
I couldn't get in Ni-Oh either. I just don't like Dark Souls style games in general.

In short terms: your mileage may vary and everybody having completely different expectations.

@Old_Hunter_77, Sterling considers Rise Of Ronin a better game with or without the comparison to Dragon's Dogma 2. The fact that Rise doesn't sell you fast travel for real world money, helps a lot in his case.
