Have you not watched a single music video from the past, let’s say forty years or danced a tango like ever? We’ve drained a lot of the ritual and subtlety out of dance so that argument may once have held water, perhaps in your grandparents day or still does in certain traditional dances. But the modern dance styles likely represented in Cuties, so very much not appropriate for kids.Dance and sex are separate.
I was joking earlier in the thread but that video was disturbing. Not the kind of thing I want to see.No it really isn't. Did you watch the videos posted in this very thread? That IS what they wear. Many of these girls just wear what amounts to bikini tops and granny panties. When did you take dance? This has been going on for ages.. Considering they even wear these outfits in the Bible Belt, I can't imagine anywhere else would be more prude than here.
Kaycee here has now grown up to become an incredible dancer..
LOL, biologically speaking you are a mistake but so is all of evolution so get over yourself.I’m sorry as a queer person I take issue with the idea that I’m a biological mistake.
And this is why MTV ruined children forever and why we should require women to wear burkas... Oh wait, I already made that joke, so why are we going back to it?Have you not watched a single music video from the past, let’s say forty years or danced a tango like ever? I think there’s a perfectly valid argument to be had about whether or not a 10yo should be watching MTV that’s kinda being skipped over here. And this is why MTV ruined children forever and why we should require women to wear burkas... Well, nowadays MTV you might have a point, but I also have no idea what they even show on there anymore. Probably not as stupid as 16 and preggers or whatever. But this is the old argument that rock and roll is corrupting our delicate christian youth.I think there’s a perfectly valid argument to be had about whether or not a 10yo should be watching MTV that’s kinda being skipped over here.
I imagine 16 and pregnant is one of the shows on MTV, yeah.Well, nowadays MTV you might have a point, but I also have no idea what they even show on there anymore. I know it was like... (looks it up) between 11 and 6 years ago, holy shit I have totally not cared what was on that network since I last saw my sister watching an episode of that.I imagine 16 and pregnant is one of the shows on MTV, yeah.
Setting boundaries as what is acceptable or not for children is kind of the many roles of a parent. It’s a thankless task but we do the best we can. Besides, I’d rather my kids took up JiuJutsu or Karate or something. And this is why MTV ruined children forever and why we should require women to wear burkas... What do you mean? Beavis and Butthead is instrumental to child development.I think there’s a perfectly valid argument to be had about whether or not a 10yo should be watching MTV that’s kinda being skipped over here.
It amazes me just funny watching two morons be morons can actually be.What do you mean? Beavis and Butthead is instrumental to child development.

A single Music video from the past? You are keeping in mind that my grandparents actually danced like this right?Have you not watched a single music video from the past, let’s say forty years or danced a tango like ever? I never argued that dancing cannot be sexual, I am saying THIS dancing isn't. These girls aren't strippers. They are not giving lap dances here. Quit projecting your creepy thoughts onto these little girls.Lil's argument is flawed, as posts #75/#77/#158 expose.
Her argument is that dancing is never sexual, and never can be sexual, and therefore, it's okay for children of all ages.
There is a limit to how little children can wear, and what constitutes an unacceptable act. Everyone is in agreement with that. There is a line. The only question is how close do you want to get to that line before it crosses over into "obscene" territory, and if there's a moral issue with toeing that line.
Lil's argument does not even recognize the existence of such a line.
Your argument is verifiably false. We already drew the line, we don't need a new one drawn by the modesty police.
Appears to me the line is where you view little girls as sex objects. When I go to a strip club I don't see 10 year olds. Kinda creepy on your part I would say. That's why I edited out the "Lil's argument does not even recognize the existence of such a line." line, because I knew that's what you'd focus on, while ignoring everything else.
My fault.
Yes, you argument does acknowledge the existence of a line. But you refuse to say where that line is. You refuse to comment on the moral issue of approaching the line. That's why your argument is flawed.
I would certainly hope not. They shouldn't be there. I don't see what your point is.When I go to a strip club I don't see 10 year olds.
