Sony Hacker Lawsuits Earn the Wrath of Anonymous [UPDATED]

Legality is what it is, and I'm inclined to side with Anon, especially as someone who has (in an unrelated way) been victimized by Sony's policy.

How much would you forgive him or her?

I've asked myself this question and the answer is: I don't know. I'd really have to see how I felt and give it a think. It's tough as a hypothetical.

    What is love?

I'm 22 and married, and a lot of people have said similar things. I'd say, since you're planning on waiting 'til you're out of school (though I didn't), stick to that. If things don't work out in the next few years, allow yourselves to dissolve the relationship. As for asking her father's...

The Most Recent Film You Were Blown Away By

I was bowled over by Winter's Bone. It's indie, but it'll be on Netflicks soon so please, please check it out. I'll warn you, though, it's heavy.

Movie that everyone loves but you hate.

I detest Paul Haggis's Crash. Its photography is painful, acting forced, writing stilted and the point of the film is self-defeated in the last scene.

    Games on Trial

I find it interesting that the justices against the law were more specific in referring to video games, whereas those against offered nebulous critiques (which were startlingly imaginative in their violence).

Your favorite movie. . . With yet ANOTHER twist!

I'm similar to Guido from 8 1/2: a talented, yet terrified filmmaker. I also dress well.

    about nazi germany.

I have to disagree with your assessment. Hating the Nazis, fine, I get that, but hating Germans because they were under an evil regime is a tougher position to take. The average German, who may or may not have known what went on in the camps, would have been drafted and threatened to go to...

Poll: Do you know self defense?

I'm trained in Chung Do Mu Sool Won (old timey Hapkido). I dig it.

4chan, so evil they wish WWII vets happy birthday....

/b/ is not any more good or evil than the person posting on it at that exact moment (meaning it's not even the aggregate of all its posts/posters). It, like humanity itself, oscillates madly. It keeps things interesting and in perspective.

Question of the Day, August 17, 2010

Video games should say whatever the makers want them to say. It isn't our place to tell artists what kind of messages they should espouse.

    I Write Like

Arthur C. Clarke is good. Me, my voice is like David Sedaris, tone is similar to Anne Tyler, syntax similar to Michael Chabon and thematically I'm Virginia Woolf. I don't mean to name drop. I actually think this is a really interesting question and am trying to figure out what my style is in...

    Avatar

Avatar was okay, but that's about it. What frustrates me is the fact Cameron had years to write it well, which would have been free, but no. Think how many more interesting films could have been made with that same amount of money.

Poll: If you could live in any Science Fiction Universe which one would it be?

Star Trek is the most Utopian, so I would enjoy it the most.

    Let's Talk Names!

I once heard a gamestop employee say he would, as a parenting tool, name his daughter Optimus Prime. He reasoned no guy would do it with a girl named thusly. I think he's underestimating nerds. I want a daughter named Nausicaa.
