Noooo this can't happen. If it does than every stinking game will want uplay (or whatever there service is called).
The best thing would be if VALVE bought relic and even if they would make games by valve time is still better than ubisoft, ea, activision.
Duke nukem forever. I know this is about technology, but DNF is so god that it could be considered part of the world greatest achivment (it is even greater achivement than the birth of human species).
What about europe? We pay 50? (63$) now with 10? more it will be 78$. And you know what is the worst part, we get a lot less function (no ESPN, netflix and so on). In some country you can't even buy dlc for some games.
This game actually wasn't that long in game development. If you consider that they made also a game engine for this game (witch is not a easy task). Even if they don't make profit out of this game they still have a game engine that they can use or even sell to other company.
