Technical terms that irritate you when misused on the internet

More than misused terms, I am deeply annoyed at mispronounciation of terms, whether correct or not. Like when someone pronounces "router" like it was a french word. *cringe*

Grammar, Spelling Nazis should just get over themselves

I don't think I qualify as a grammar nazi, because I don't go around correcting people all the time, but it cannot be denied that reading things full of "they went to get there car" and "the cat played with it's toy" breaks enjoyment of whatever is written. Basically, what I think when I read...

    Casual sex

Things work differently for different people. I could tell you "you assume that they are not, when they are". There are some people who cannot conceive sex and feelings as two different entities, and there are some who can. As long as both keep to each other's playing field, no problems - though...

    Casual sex

A lot of enjoyable sex followed (hopefully) by a large number of mutually given orgasms? Dunno about you, but that sounds like a whole heap of fun to me... I find it peculiar that to you the videogame is what comes before the contact, rather than what comes afterwards. To me, the chase is...

Does this really piss off anyone else?

Never happens, but then I never wear headphone in the presence of people I might be interested in listening to.

Where and how did you meet your significant other?

My one very serious relationship, now ended, was with a girl I met because I was trying to get one of her friends to bump uglies with me.. Friend didn't want to have fun, but in the end it didn't bother me because I found myself much more attracted to my ex, and not just in a physical way...

    Casual sex

Why, exactly? Why bother catching at all then?

    Casual sex

If the other person is a girl and attractive, this is my ideal relationship with them, but I much prefer being friends with benefits than just "hi, wanna fuck?" *hump hump* "kthxbye", though I wouldn't refuse the latter if I couldn't have the former. That they ain't sleeping around enough...

Games that make you think "Where did it all go wrong?"

Freelancer. It had the potential of being the best freeform game to ever exist, overshadowing the likes of X and Hardwar (bonus points if you know the latter). Instead, it was just a slightly-less-restrictive space fighting sim. A good one, mind you, but with so VERY much wasted potential.

So DRM doesn't stop piracy... what do you think developers should do instead?

I was going to reply, but then, this... ...already says everything I wanted to say. Just do as Stardock do (or used to do; I hear they're dabbling in DRM too nowadays - a sad thing indeed if true): focus on the paying customer, and completely ignore the pirates.

    Connectivity

The "biggest" game I've ever played is X3 Terran Conflict. It could be argued that it's too big; since the ships are fairly slow, even with time acceleration one needs a good amount of patience. It's also entirely possible to play the game without seeing a lot of the universe, though if you're...

If you could mix any two video games together..

X3: Terran Conflict and Hardwar [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardwar_%28video_game%29]. The epicness could make the universe implode.

    Naming my Metal Band

All those are fairly ordinary names. In fact, I'd be REALLY surprised if all of them weren't already taken by obscure bands all over the place. Be original. Come up with something unexpected (not stupid, mind you).

    You get one weapon....

Vash the Stampede's revolver/angel arm. Can be used as a gun to stop the occasional baddie, as a low-power beam weapon to stop a group, or as a full-power planet-destroyer to cleanse the evil once and for all.

That one album that completely fried your brainbox

I heard "Memory of trees" by Enya at a friend's birthday party back when I was a child, and I knew I absolutely HAD to get it for myself. So I did, and the wonderful world of celtic music was opened to me. Fast forward some ten years, and someone got me to listen to a song by Nightwish, from...
