The Top Ten Hardest Game Characters

He also burned down a whole goddamn forest that he owned just because the government was going to nationalize it. This man is a badass. My vote goes to Ryan.

    The Orange Box

I do. It's funny. Ah, that was a lot of meat, wasn't it? Good times. Anyway, like many others, while I disagree with your review, I must commend you on how you present it. It's a lot better than that one review on GameFAQs that has the author rambling on about how the 'Orange Box was not...

When did reading become a thing to hate?

I've grown up with a book in my hand. I learned how to read when I was three, after a good dose of my mother and father reading to me before I went to bed every night. When I'm done work in school, I read. When I'm eating, I read. When I'm tired, I read, and when I'm about to go to bed, I read...

    Top Video Game Personalities

Currently, I'm a bit tied into knots over Dr. Steinman, who I liked very much. McDonagh's first audiodiary had me laughing; never before had I heard 'cold as a witch's tit' from anyone other than my father, and he introduced me to the wonderful phrase, 'I don't give a toss if you piss or go...

    Zero Punctuation: Condemned 2: Bloodshot

One of the funniest so far. One could make a great very many fantastic icons out of the art on this one.

What happens when you stay up too long?

I just get... really tired. Nothing else happens. When I stay up longer than normal, I go through a roller-coaster of 'sleepy/not sleepy'. One minute I might be very tired, the next I could be like I was rested, and the one after that, tired again. Once, I remember, I was staring at my...

Why are the Beatles so Popular?

I don't know why other people like them, but I can assume it's either because A. it is appealing to them, or B. everyone else likes it and they just want to fit in. I think the Beatles sound nice, so I like them. That's it.

    Favorite non video game game

I love playing zombie tag, a version of the classic schoolyard tag, with my friends. For card games, I find War and Blackjack very enjoyable. ... or I, y'know, read a book. edit: I loved playing 'THE FLOOR IS LAVA!' when I was a child. I used to dismantle all of the couches in the room...

What do you do whilst Loading?

I usually tap my fingers on the buttons of the controller in rhythm with whatever music is playing during the load or in my head. Or I just stare at the screen. I don't know if I'm thinking anything. Probably psyching myself up for whatever part of the game coming next.

    What are you reading?

I'm nearing the end of Atlas Shrugged. I'm on the 'Concierto of Deliverance' chapter. Before that, I read the Fountainhead. I enjoyed both books very much, but I have to say Fountainhead drew me in more, and I rooted for Roark a lot more than I'm rooting for Dagny or John Galt. (My apologies to...

    Confess your strange Gaming Habits

I do that as well. I also reply out loud to the NPCs a lot more when I'm playing Gordon as opposed to other games, where the most you'll get out of me is an exclamation of either 'YES!' or 'SHIT' every once in a while. One of my most deep-rooted habits while playing a video game is that...

    Naming Your Character

For usernames, I've been using 'GoddamnitReddas' for the past while, so I'm probably going to stick with that. For character names, if it's a girl, I'd choose 'Key', which is my online nickname. If it's a guy, I'd pick a guy name from my list of names I like that I think fits the character...

    Poll: HL2 Mod

Maybe Gordon would be more of an 'I'll wait here until you do something' NPC. Or, perhaps, he'd go off and investigate by himself and come back and alert Alyx visually, so she/the player would follow him. Also, if the game is set five years after the Seven Hour War, Alyx would be around five...

Level that makes you just want to break the game disk

That one actually wasn't quite that bad. I was playing with a friend at the time, so we were more 'laughing at ourselves in disbelief' (we took turns each time one of us died) instead of 'in a furious rage'. I also found that the whole platforming level where you follow your 'Dad' wasn't that...
