I think the "11 million active subscriptions" for WoW alone (not including anything non-WoW related ala Sc2) gives them a very good case for "saving" the PC market, don't you?
I like the theme of your story..... yes the Console / iPhone / non-PC is a fairly static device, allowing for fairly generic code for all of them that just works.
But.... where's your World of Warcraft / Starcraft 2 for Xbox / PS3 / iWank?

I myself gave the raiding scene (and WoW in general) in roughly 12 months ago.... If I play Cataclysm, it will probably be to see how the world zones have changed.... not so interested in the class changes...
