Hey friends! We released Ashes: Escalation this week and I've been going around and seeing if anyone has had a chance to play and has any impressions yet. :)

The core game is GalCiv, but visually, there's still lots of things to be added. It's the first day of the alpha, and the final release is still a year off at least. :)

I've only played the beta, but I didn't find anything special enough about it to pre-order. Although it was fun to play for a while, it got real repetitive for me pretty quick.

I picked it up when it hit a low sale and played SP. It wasn't that bad, and is really just your typical shooter experience.

The good thing about Impulse::Reactor is that it can adapt to new services that may appear in the future, and Facebook Connect is just one service mentioned at this time. I think some are getting this confused with playing Facebook games. This is a way to sign-in and connect with your friends.
