I really enjoyed world at war. Not sure why. But then I still maintain that COD2 was the best game in the series, simply because it allowed for a degree of tactics.
The whole COD-type shooter is really overdone IMO. I moved from those types of games a while ago, and I can't get back into any...
Anyone know if the cube throwing is possible in the PC version? I've tried a few times with the sensitivity all the way up, but that doesn't seem to work.
I've been saying all along that the current gen consoles have stifled progress in gaming. But that's only in the engine department, and there's no reason why we couldn't have had some new IP instead of constantly rehashed sequels of boring series.

Haven't had much experience (read: any) with xboxes. But if my computer was doing that, my guesses would be (in order):
1) Broken game media (unlikely if it happens with more that one game)
2) Dead RAM
3) Dead mobo
4) Damaged optical drive

Alien swarm. Ended up being the last one alive with next to no ammo and even less hitpoints. Won it buy rolling into the finish area just as the doors opened (Rydberg reactor if you're wondering)

I'd give it a miss personally, worth nowhere near the $90 on steam. See if you can grab COD4 instead, it's basically identical as far as gameplay goes, and nowhere near as expensive. Plus you get a decent SP campaign as well
