I found it more depressing than satisfying. Man tears were shed at the part where you leave your LI (Tali in my case) at the beam. However, it was weird how Harbinger sat and politely waited for you to talk to your squadmates.

This also isn't a WW2 game, but I highly recommend Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. It's a fast paced flight-simulator/shooter with a really neat mode where you can go into an up-close dogfight with another fighter jet. It is intense, fun, and has a neat metal soundtrack.
