Okay, I never played FFVIII, so you're gonna have to explain that to me. Or is this just a crack at the design? That complaint is even older than my thread idea (thanks for that little kick in the nads, root... I should've used the search bar).
Agreed. And also throw in any inventory item that isn't a weapon but is placed in the same menu as them, like the fishing rod from Twilight Princess or the camera (again) in Fallout: New Vegas. Wasted space.
Oh man, when I was nine I thought that weapon was so cool 'cause you could use TWO of 'em. Then I tried to shoot someone with it. Yeah... at least the ammo was plentiful.
Everyone makes lists of the best weapons of all time in games. The ones that are so powerful, practical, or just plain fun to use that they become part of gaming culture forever. Then there are the worst weapons. The rifle that fires slower than an old musket. The sword that does so little...
Gears of War, for me. I thought that the controls were solid and that many of the weapons were very creative breaks from your typical assault rifle-sniper rifle-pistol-shotgun set (the Hammer of Dawn comes to mind), but the games just never really clicked with me.
Engineer for me, with sniper in a close second. I just usually prefer hanging back behind the frontline troops... the soldiers, pyros, scouts, spies and whatnot.
This is like every "crazy hippie protest" caricature had a child and smoked and drank during the pregnancy. Relatively harmless subject? Check. Crying "freedom of speech"? Check. Unsolicited attack on capitalism? Check. Rampant doomsaying? Double-check. Historical quote put in a ludicrously...
What do you think is the ugliest or most heinous word in existence? It can be because of the connotations of the word, or its definition, or even just the way it's spelled or pronounced. My vote is for "hemorrhoids", as it's an ugly word to describe an ugly condition.
