I've disabled mods one by one and it appears to be the Oblivion Overhaul that's making the chests disappear. I'm not sure how to replace it though. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks for the help, also.

That is true. I know a few people who are into fighting games and could probably teach me a thing or two, and that recent GameStop sponsored tournament is what got me interested in MvC3 in the first place. Maybe i'll give it a shot if I have the money.
