Thank you for that, it was really bugging me and I had just assumed they decided to do whatever they wanted with the Reach storyline its nice to know there is at least some explanation for it.

I dont know probably either the Dead Space series or maybe Alan Wake. There is also Dead Rising but that is honestly not very scary...Horror has taken a huge hit over the years.
