This isn't serious, right? Kojima just put this out to troll everyone with an indefensible character design, and he's saving the actual, sensible one for use in the real game. Right? Right?
Considering they're both the same guy, it's a little bit of a strawman argument here.
Then again, if *that* Sauron had been the lord of Dol Guldur, we would have had an epic clash of Mutant Sauron vs. Beardzilla Magneto, and that spells awesome in my book.
Um... Okay? I guess it'll be interesting, from at least a technical standpoint, to see how Telltale integrates the shooty-looty-grindy gameplay of Borderlands into their usual point-and-click comfort zone. Admittedly, the backdrop of Pandora was one of the few things I like about the Borderlands...
I won't say that the game doesn't have some appeal, but there are two issues that I feel really holds this title back: it's based on an IP that doesn't seem to have that big a following (I'd honestly never even heard of Sime~Gen before this), and the few gameplay videos featured on the...
I've been blocked about twenty or so times that I know about. Of those blockings, only two came from people I actually cared about. We still communicate by other means, so the loss was minimal at best.
If they actually include Black Flag songs in the soundtrack, I'm in. :)
Really, though, where can the series go at this point? When the devs killed off Ezio, most if not all of the IP's mojo went with him. Of course, it probably didn't help that Ubisoft decided to set the next true sequel in...
Might as well throw Halo out there, if only to see the inevitable flames. Seriously, though, I came to Halo straight from Half-Life and never understood where the big appeal of the former game came from.
Also on my overrated list: FFVII, FFVIII, Mass Effect and KotOR.
Here's one I'm a little surprised hasn't gotten a mention yet -- Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
And for the record, Hotel Dusk is possibly the only interactive novel I've ever really enjoyed.
Seconded, or thirded or wherever we are in the thread at this point. (I can't be arsed to check.) Wind Waker's graphics were already pretty clean from the start; that's one of the reasons I liked it so much back in the day. MM is my all-time favorite Zelda, however, since it's one of the few...
I figured Disney would try to get at least one of the films made by him, if only for the fanboy dollars. Still don't care about the franchise anymore, but it'll make its money back no sweat -- and at this point, that's all that really matters.
(I would have mentioned Duke Nukem Forever, but a: that wasn't entirely Gearbox's fault; and b: I've spent the better part of a year trying to wipe that abomination from my mind.)
