I'm a huge fan of the Doors, my dad used to always play their first album when I was a child so that's the one I'm most familiar with. Although my favorite album may be LA Woman. Coincidentally Jim Morrison shares the same birthday as my roommate.

Mandela was a hero for human rights and probably the most important African in the century. He lived a life of sacrifice and hardship but also one of ultimate triumph. I have no doubts that his legacy will outshine most others in the coming years.

I haven't listened to more than one album from the year I think. It was Random Access Memories by Daft Punk. It was freaking awesome and this is coming from a classic rock guy. So that album would be the only choice by default, although I'm sure it would make it anyway!
