    Recovering a Gamertag

Haha, that's pretty awesome, they bought a load of stuff from the avatar marketplace. I feel kinda bad but oh well.

    Recovering a Gamertag

Hello Escapist! I'll cut to the chase: I had an Xbox. I had a live account. I sold the Xbox. I forgot to delete the account from it. Somebody else used the Xbox. I bought a new Xbox. I recovered my profile. Will the person I sold my Xbox too still have access to my live profile...

    The futility of it all.

Damn. I racked my head for something to say to that for ages, but I can't. Because I have just realised that there is no discussion to be had here. I could argue that who cares if you give fun to others, they shall die eventually and that who cares what happens next, because everyone will...

    The futility of it all.

I thought I would start this thread because I am in dire need of a debate, or at least an intellectual discussion. I know this particular topic may have been discussed alot on the forums, so I wish to avoid the whole 'Meaning of Life' dispute. Now, I feel that there is absolutely no purpose...

    Games that are funny.

I found Jade Empire to be thoroughly amusing. The ending sequence (reading the letters describing what happened to each character after the game ended) had me in fits. Henpecked Hou was by far the most hilarious and likeable character I have ever encountered in a video game. "This might not...

What is online gaming coming to?

I wholeheartedly agree with you, but to each his own. We may not understand it, but that doesn't mean it's wrong. Some people enjoy playing the games in certain ways. Think of it as trying to employ a certain degree of roleplaying into the game. Moving around, crouched, with only realistic perks...

    IF you like rap...

I usually despise Rap with the burning intensity of a thousand suns, but there does seem to be two exceptions to this rule: Eminem's earlier stuff and the Beastie Boys (If you can call that rap, it's debatable)

    What's your comfort game?

My comfort game would have to be that Indie smash-hit 'I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N IT!!!1'. Whenever I ragequit a game of CoD, I slap this on for 10 minutes. There's something inherently relaxing about a twin stick shooter.

Poll: Does anybody use the 3rd person view in COD Modern Warfare 2?

I use it all the time. I feel it encourages much more tactical gameplay. It's not often you come across Akimbo Shotgunners in 3rd person.

Which game do you wish you could play, but can't?

For me, it would have to be PC games. Specifically, MMOs such as WoW or LotRO. I used to enjoy wow for a few years, but after the release of WotLK I stopped playing. I no longer own a PC, and so I rely on my loyal 360 to satisfy my gaming needs. I would buy a new PC, with some high specs, but I...

    Work Out Games

I own a Wii Fit and to be perfectly honest, it never gets used. The only time I take it out of the box is when I have some of my younger relations visiting, and even then, it's never used by the older members of my family. I haven't tried the Fitness Coach game you mentioned, but i'm pretty sure...

    Annual UK Snow Forecast

I'm rather close to London, down in Essex, and we didn't get shag all. How much snow fell where you are? Oh wow, cancel that, it has just started snowing. That's slightly unnerving.

    Best game openings?

I would have to say the original Guild Wars: Prophecies opening. It was so idyllic, and yet the narrative managed to be so chilling. "The last day dawns on the Kingdom of Ascalon. It arrives with no fanfare, no tolling of alarms. Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning...
