Almost anything from Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli. Stuff i watched as a kid: Beyblades, Zoids, Metabots, pokemon, digimon etc... (on that, almost anything that was on cheese TV back in the day)

Try and find a copy of the book signed by JK, or a signed picture of her fave HP actor. Maybe on ebay or something? Or buy her a time turner necklace, or some other cool replica prop from it.

Freelancer, Its not technically an FPS, you fly a space ship around in 3rd or first person. Fun game. And like LookingGlass said, Star Wars Republic Commando is a great game.

I'm a stickler for having matching armour in my TES games, so this doesn't really bother me. As long as we have plenty of different types of armour to choose from for each class ill be happy.

The Redemption of Althalus by David and Leigh Eddings. It has a very assassins creed feel to it. Also the Belgariad series by David Eddings.
