Out of these 10. recommend 3

Only played Skyrim of those and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. So I recommend.... DUN DUN DUN! NOTHING! Go out and make a name of yourself! Games are for sad people with no social life!

Looking for an old-school (style) PC CRPG

Eschalon Book 1 and Book 2. Amazing old-school RPGs that sweeps the floor with most modern RPGs. Waiting patiently for Book 3.

Poll: The Best (Western) RPG Series of All Time

Well, Gothic 2 is easily the best in the series ^^ I'm only thinking about accessibility to new players here, which Risen handles much better than Gothic 1, 2 or 3.

Poll: The Best (Western) RPG Series of All Time

Personally I would recommend Risen to every new player of the Gothic series. Sure it isn't the same story, but it is by the same developers and shares the exact same atmosphere and feeling that makes Gothics great. Early Gothics may be harsh to new players, due to low production values and...

Poll: The Best (Western) RPG Series of All Time

Start with Risen (on PC! Can't stress this enough). It's the easiest to get into and is relatively bug-free and obviously looks great as it's the newest. If you love Risen, Gothic 2 is the classic and a must play. Edit: Quote fail

Poll: The Best (Western) RPG Series of All Time

Gothic hands down (excluding the horrible not needed piece of shit Gothic 4 and replacing it with the real Gothic 4, Risen.) After Gothic it would have to be The Witcher, Baldur's Gate and Fallout.

Poll: Would you play an RPG that hides stats from the player?

Way to completely miss the point of everything he said.

Poll: Would you play an RPG that hides stats from the player?

The more stats and information, the better. If you find it confusing, play another genre. Almost all classic RPGs have been really stat-heavy and that's how they still should be. If you take away stats, they stop being RPGs. This was probably my biggest disappointment with Skyrim, and one of...

What game genres do you miss?

Proper RPGs. Way too few around and far between.

So what are your top 3 games this year.

    1. The Witcher 2 2. Terraria 3. Minecraft I had to think hard to make that list. Not many interesting games came out this year.

Square Enix Wants a New Final Fantasy Every Year

Hironobu Sakaguchi left Square ages ago. Final Fantasies are dead and may rest in peace. The good games are still there and can be re-played every now and then. We don't need new ones.

Poll: So... did Skyrim meet your personal expectations?

Skyrim is an RPG for people who don't like RPGs. That's my bottomline after around 20 hours of play. Unfocused and mostly just completely random, accompanied with the worst quest design ever. Also, about immersion.... Immersion =/= Graphics. I was unable to get immersed in the game because...

How do you like slay your dragons?

Bash it in the head while it stares me, bugged, not doing anything. Works almost always!

    Skyrim Too Easy?

I started a mage on Master difficulty to see if it could prove a challenge since my warrior's mainquest broke down (gg Bethesda). It seemed to be challenging enough at first, but then I started killing dragons without taking a single point of damage. And I wish the game was too easy just by...
