A) Most people either don't know or don't care what "good" music is.
B) Most people will accept the fads fed to them
C) Popular music has to be the most safe and unoffensive to gain the most appeal. Taking risks by being "innovative" is counter-productive to that.
Okay in all seriousness I think we can agree on a rule of thumb that if you might forget a person's name whom you wish death upon (hence writing it down) you're probably overreacting.
