    Funny events in anti-woke world

ICE absolutely did not get blocked first; ICE was dragging people out without any form of identification, checks or balances. Once that kept happening for quite a while people got enough of it and started blocking these ICE agents and their vehicles. If ICE is law enforcement, they should...

    Funny events in anti-woke world

Who are "they"? Of the examples I cited, at least two were either doing their job near a protest and not protesting themselves (a journalist) or just trying to go home while nowhere even near a protest. Yet apparently, they deserved to be treated as enemy combatants for that. Furthermore, if...

    Funny events in anti-woke world

Valid. But that's a case of actual traitors, not of innocent citizens being shot at for either protesting, or as is far more often the case, just trying to live their lives.

    Funny events in anti-woke world

Except I didn't talk about deaths. I spoke about people and their lives. And those are definitely impacted by being shot point blank in the leg for the crime of being a journalist near the LAPD. Or the woman that got shot point blank in the stomach for trying to go to her home before the curfew...

    Funny events in anti-woke world

Ah, yes, the traditional conservative "Property is more important than people and their lives" approach.

First Impressions: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - Seeking Light

I am mostly lurking; already was mostly lurking on the first iteration of the forums a long time ago, but literally the first tutorial popup after you finish the prologue teaches you that you can hold Y to heal the entire party on the Y overview of the status from the main game or from the menu.

MtG Players, I could use your help for a (godawful, terrible) new EDH deck.

The end result looks truly awful. Now watch as you win by accident the first time you take this deck out, just because your opponents keep misreading your cards and help keep you alive by countering them and the like ;).

MtG Players, I could use your help for a (godawful, terrible) new EDH deck.

The first thing I thought of when I saw your thread was indeed Goblin Game, which has already been mentioned (Goblin Game [http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=goblin+game]). On the creature side you still seem to be missing Volcano Hellion...

    Your lowest note?

I'm a deep bass myself. Currently suffering from pneumonia, so I'm not exactly going to be straining to find my current deepest note (or at least, not without regretting it tremendously). I have in the past sung things like "Ol' Man River" (Show Boat), "Come Dal Ciel Precipita" (Verdi -...

    Let's talk heavy metal.

I find myself rather amazed that some great bands have gone entirely unmentioned thus far. Let's remedy that! And that's it for now.

The Glam Burger (also known as the how to spend money better thread)

Jeez... that burger is just wasteful in so many ways. Apparantly someone missed the note to cooks that tossing a load of expensive ingredients together doesn't make for a very refined taste experience. I can probably make a better tasting burger than that with less than 1/100th of the cost...

What's the most boring book you've ever read?

The -only- book I never finished is a Dutch novel by Louis Couperus called Eline Vere. It's style and language are horribly dated, but where writers like Lovecraft and Poe also wrote in a different style than is used these days, Couperus -also- has bugger all to tell in his book. Seriously, it's...

What game from this past generation did you have the most fun playing?

Single Player: Definitely Crusader Kings 2. So many hours spent building families and empires; from my days as a noob figuring out the ropes as the Duke of Munster on newbie-island (Ireland) to my forging of the great Wendish Empire in the east of Europe on my last playthrough. Multiplayer...

Grand Theft Auto V "Official Trailer" Puts the Band Back Together

I think you meant "bad men" rather than the singular, mr. Chalk ;). That said, that trailer looks fantastic. San Andreas is (making me a rarity) my least favourite city of the GTA settings, however they've managed to get me interested despite that.

Strife: S2 Games' Antidote To "Toxic" MOBAs

Cleaning up the playerbase is a step in the right direction for any MOBA. That said, they say limiting communication to teammates is one of the ways to do that, which seems -really- counterproductive when you're stuck with a group of strangers trying to win, especially because it encourages the...
