Possible to run msn chat in games?

I was wondering if there was some kind of add-on or mod you could download for msn messenger that would enable you to chat to your friends while you play games, as right now i am having to alt-tab out a game to respond or not play the game entirely. I understand steam and x-fire offer this...

    Unforgivable Gaming Sins

I enjoy Sacred 2 on the xbox. And i'm a sucker for traditional loot collecting hack n' slashers in general. Nothing wrong with 'dated gameplay' in my opinion.

    Ratings?

Age ratings are necessary, but it does annoy me when a 17 year old is carded for an 18 rated game and is refused the sale. If the guy / girl can't handle violence and adult themes at that age then there's no hope for them period. I wish people would make allowances and say "Okay, maybe that 14...

Poll: What is your basic character archetype?

Stone Wall. I like to wear the shiniest armour and wield the mightiest weapons. Doesn't matter how fancy that robe looks or how unique the leather gear is, nothing beats wearing a full badass set of platemail, swinging a halberd and screaming maniacally to some false Viking God as you run...

game moments that made you feel like a badass

Blowing up a structure in Bad Company 2 with enemies still in it and getting the Demolition Man 2.0 for it. It's very rare they'll still be in the building when it collapses, but when they are, i feel awesome for crushing them in their own cover.

    Sad Songs

I'm afraid i'm too lazy and far too tired at the moment to post the actual youtube videos of the songs in the thread, but i'll list a few for you to look up at your own convenience. Everybody Hurts - REM It Means Nothing - Stereophonics My Immortal - Evanescence Forgiven - Within...

    Your favourite anime movie.

Vision of Escaflowne. Can barely remember it now but i always loved that anime.

Poll: So I was just thinking about Fallout New Vegas...

Very good. I don't like dealing with the repercussions of my actions. For example, i couldn't shoot two people in their household for their stuff and then try to explain to little Timmy that his mum and dad are just 'sleeping'. Just like i don't like being told off for doing an inexplicably evil...

    mouse/keyboard for 360/ps3: c'mon, please?

The way my console is set up, i wouldn't be able to make use of a mouse and keyboard so sadly i couldn't see the point of it. I also feel like the controller is part of the 'console experience' and feels markedly different to playing on the pc, but then that's just me and i'm slightly weird like...

No, sorry, but your accent sucks.

That woman in charge of the Reapers in Just Cause 2. "My name is Bola Santosi!" I think that was her name... The accent sounded so badly forced that it hurt my ears just to listen to it.

    Games considered "Cult Classics"

The Penumbra games, day of the tentacle, grim fandango. Admittedly i haven't played the last two. I think the Myst games used to have a pretty big select following. Try looking up some indie games, they tend to end up being labelled with the title 'cult classics'

    Fighting/Battle Music.

I realise My Immortal might be a bit too contrived since nearly everybody appears to of heard it, but it fits a heartbreak or sad moment just so well.

I'm intending to make a computer game, and would like some feedback on the core idea.

Sounds great, but i think you might end up in the same trap as a game called The Last Remnant. It's a role playing game that actively discourages levelling. So if you fight monsters, you may or may not increase in skill level while they can actually end up out-levelling you as a result due to...

You call THIS a final boss!?

Half life 2. As i recall, it just consisted of shooting energy balls at gunships and a bigger energy thing in the middle. It felt very anticlimactic to say the least.

Games you came back to and liked

Shadow of the Colossus. At first i didn't get it and ran around the landscape looking for enemies to fight and not really knowing what to do, so i gave up. A few days later i came back to it and managed to find a boss. After about half an hour i couldn't work out how to beat that, so i gave up...
