I understand this thread has been done to death. So I'm changing it up a bit to meet unbelievably simple and vague archetypes (thanks to our good friends at Tvtropes) that can fit into any context, whether meaning gaming, sports or just casual awesomeness, so without further delay, let's get started.

The http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StoneWall

(Examples, Conan, The Heavy weapons guy)

This guy is your strong, immovable object (Or unstoppable force), and therefore dumber than a bag of hammers, these are the meat heads among you and in games are usually the Fighter.

The http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FragileSpeedster

(Examples, Han Solo, The Scout, Most real cowboys, Ezio)

This is your Ranger/Scout in games, they're usually fast-talking fast-moving adventurers, explorers and hunters, they usually have high charisma, (Although a more cocky charisma, as opposed to suave nature of ....

The http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MagnificentBastard

(Examples, The Spy, James Bond, Snake)

The suave Casanova, this guy probably wouldn't lurk the Escapist, but would probably instead be making a hit review series based around simple images whilst working at a bar by night....*Ahem*, this smooth talker usually goes by Close-quarters-combat and stealth, (Rogue, Assassin, etc) doing stuff most people would think impossible.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheSmartGuy

(Examples, Mages, Liara (Mass Effect) )

These are your soft, nerdy types, most of the time they have low Charisma and frail bodies, that doesn't mean so much when they have a gun that can shoot lightning or the magical ability to have fire beam from their eyes, I imagine most of us were this guy in Secondary/High school. Mages and Warlocks are RPG equivalents.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheMario

(Examples, Paladins, Gordon Freeman)

What can't this guy do, a little bit of brains, a little bit of brawn, some speed and some charisma, and with a dash of perfection syndrome, we have that guy nobody wants to play.

[small]If anyone has any suggestions of other Tvtropes archetypes, I would be happy to add them.

Also, if anyone could tell me how to squeeze a link into a few words, would help.[/small]

EDIT: [small] If anyone's wondering, I personally prefer the Fragile Speedster, I like Charisma and charm based game play with Ranged/Speed. [small]

I like to think that I try to balance everything out, but if I have to choose, a mix between the Magnificent Bastard and the Stone Wall.

Out of all of those, I'm probably the Magnificent Bastard.

I enjoy talking my way out of situations, and Stealth is one of my favorite genres.

I like the fragile speedster myself, I like speed, sure I am weak, but chances are you won't hit me either way.

Considering I go with Paladins 9 times out of 10, I'm gonna go with The Mario.

Oh, wait, you were refering to us...Ummm, actually The Mario fits me too.

I felt a little inferior when I saw this in the describtion of my 'archetype'
There's a very large chance that at least one if not most Fragile Speedster will be of the female gender
I better go water my vagina...

However, my toughness is NOT halting.
You'll find the http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LightningBruiser your style.

It's probably due to how people link to think bows require no strength to use and how Amazons were female in Diablo 2 and such.

You know my entire social circle fits all those tropes. Funny and scary that.

Anyhow I usually try to make balanced characters but if pushed I usually use brawn more than anything.

Same here, It's great how everyone in any situation usually falls in these categories.

Stone Wall. I like to wear the shiniest armour and wield the mightiest weapons. Doesn't matter how fancy that robe looks or how unique the leather gear is, nothing beats wearing a full badass set of platemail, swinging a halberd and screaming maniacally to some false Viking God as you run headfirst into an army of skeletons.

I would like to think that i'm a mix between fragile speedster, the smart guy, and the magnificent bastard. realistically i'm probably either just the smart guy or a slight mix of the smart guy and magnificent bastard.

I'd like to consider myself The Mario. I've got just the right mix of adept and inept to make me moderately successful in anything I do.

Though, possibly I could also be considered a Smart Guy.

Smart Guy. I can spout so much information, you wouldn't need the library. Also,if it's physical,I fail miserably (unless it's a nut-shot.Generally followed by a hasty retreat.) I also know how to kill a person in many different ways...But I'd never be able to pull it off.

In games,I'm generally a Magnificent Bastard with a Lightning Bruiser mix.

I'm more of a Smart guy in real life, but in game i prefer to be more of a fragile Speedster, because my theory is the following: it doesn't matter how much damage you can take, but how fast you get in and then get the heck out before it gets serious.
