I understand this thread has been done to death. So I'm changing it up a bit to meet unbelievably simple and vague archetypes (thanks to our good friends at Tvtropes) that can fit into any context, whether meaning gaming, sports or just casual awesomeness, so without further delay, let's get started.
The http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StoneWall
(Examples, Conan, The Heavy weapons guy)
This guy is your strong, immovable object (Or unstoppable force), and therefore dumber than a bag of hammers, these are the meat heads among you and in games are usually the Fighter.
The http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FragileSpeedster
(Examples, Han Solo, The Scout, Most real cowboys, Ezio)
This is your Ranger/Scout in games, they're usually fast-talking fast-moving adventurers, explorers and hunters, they usually have high charisma, (Although a more cocky charisma, as opposed to suave nature of ....
The http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MagnificentBastard
(Examples, The Spy, James Bond, Snake)
The suave Casanova, this guy probably wouldn't lurk the Escapist, but would probably instead be making a hit review series based around simple images whilst working at a bar by night....*Ahem*, this smooth talker usually goes by Close-quarters-combat and stealth, (Rogue, Assassin, etc) doing stuff most people would think impossible.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheSmartGuy
(Examples, Mages, Liara (Mass Effect) )
These are your soft, nerdy types, most of the time they have low Charisma and frail bodies, that doesn't mean so much when they have a gun that can shoot lightning or the magical ability to have fire beam from their eyes, I imagine most of us were this guy in Secondary/High school. Mages and Warlocks are RPG equivalents.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheMario
(Examples, Paladins, Gordon Freeman)
What can't this guy do, a little bit of brains, a little bit of brawn, some speed and some charisma, and with a dash of perfection syndrome, we have that guy nobody wants to play.
[small]If anyone has any suggestions of other Tvtropes archetypes, I would be happy to add them.
Also, if anyone could tell me how to squeeze a link into a few words, would help.[/small]
EDIT: [small] If anyone's wondering, I personally prefer the Fragile Speedster, I like Charisma and charm based game play with Ranged/Speed. [small]
