How could Pokemon win you back (Assuming it lost you?)

Chalk any blatant mistakes I've made about how Pokemon works in my last post up to my complete indifference toward the series since Blue. I actually completely forgot that I played most of the way through SoulSilver since my wife insisted that we get both of them and play them together, so my...

How could Pokemon win you back (Assuming it lost you?)

I'm almost exclusively a lurker here, but I have to speak up because this has been bugging me for years. The last Pokemon game I played was Ruby, and the only other one I've played was Blue. I absolutely love the IDEA of Pokemon, but it's never been enjoyable series for me due to a lot of...

Ever been in tears of laughter during a game?

Saint's Row 2 - All of it. Portal - All of it. Disgaea - Ditto. Smash Bros series - So many moments, all of them in the "you had to be there" category. Armored Core 3: SL - In one particular match, I had been playing against a friend on the bridge stage. We were both using light...

Any Terry Goodkind fans out there?

I agree with a lot of the complaints listed above, though I don't like the format of "This author is bad because he made this particular mistake." There are a lot of bad things about these books that could have killed them for me, but as a whole I enjoyed the series enough to overlook most of...

    The individualist is KINDA dead.

I hear you. I hate talking to the costume rather than the person, and most people have been wearing the costume for so long that they've forgotten how to act like the person underneath. I only have a few people that I talk to on any regular basis, and those are either the type that are...

    Next Batman Movie Villians

Harley Quinn becomes a Joker supporter while tending to him in the asylum he is inevitably sent to. The original Joker soon dies in some way or is shown to have died (since no one could pull off that act properly), but other classical incarnations of him appear as various crime leaders trying...

How do you PLAY GAMES YOUR OWN WAY?

Playing Pokemon in Final Fantasy Tactics. That is, use your allies to help Ramza become a mediator with invite at the start of the game, then delete them. Set Ramza up as a chemist with talk skill and collect some enemies. Play the rest of the game using only monsters and Ramza. I can assure...

    Bad things in Good games

^ Annoying, but not really a problem. In any game like that I just play as though those items don't exist, since I'd rather enjoy the game without reading a guide every step of the way than worry about getting a few overpowered items. Think about it, would you ever say that you didn't enjoy an...

    Bad things in Good games

Kudos to you; I couldn't even finish it once. It was a good game, and I particularly liked the dungeons where you had Melody or that plant thing with you. At that point in the game the sailing sucked, but I was willing to put up with it because I was having enough fun in the towns and dungeons...

    Bad things in Good games

Nintedo's complete failure at designing online play. Seriously, anyone who's played Brawl knows what I'm talking about. Brawl is my favorite multiplayer game to date (BTW, I'm not even going to mention tripping here. We all hate it, we all agree on it, end of discussion.), but online...

    Games That Desperately Need Sequels

I second Metal Arms and Gotcha Force. No reason not to have online though, as Mario Kart proves it can be done by Nintendo without problems. The only reason the game had so much slowdown is that it was badly programmed. For any of you who actually like Gotcha Force, check out its board on...

    Why I don't like piracy: a software developer's thoughts.

Alright, like I said before I'm not going to argue the moral points like everyone else wants to, but I'm curious about one thing. Sayvara, how do you feel about someone who pirates only for the purpose of trying things out? That is, watching an anime before it becomes available in the U.S., or...

    Why I don't like piracy: a software developer's thoughts.

That pretty much sums up my stance on the issue. People feel they need to pirate, the law can't stop them effectively, so companies have to gain their respect again if they want people to stop doing it.

    Why I don't like piracy: a software developer's thoughts.

Agreed, since the concept of morality is different for every individual, it is gray by definition. The law exists to impose black and white on it so everyone can understand it.
