For me Final Fantasy 7 and 8 are somewhere around a minimum of 2000+ hours each. Metal Gear Solid 3 is pretty high up there too, a couple hundred hours at least.

This sums up a lot of how I felt when I play FF9, the only other thing is the difficulty. If I'm able to never grind, only have on character reach level 47, and still demolish the final boss(es) in a JRPG, it shows a balance issue.
